Really?

I thought that he came across very well, very down to earth and personable.

Bana's on Top Gear tonight, no doubt plugging the UK release of the DVD... Fair enough.

I watched it about a week ago and throughly enjoyed it. He's obviously a proper petrolhead.

Cheers Fred - looking forward to watching it now. Remember seeing the Falcons on the way to school and my Dad had a standard Falcon. Probably coloured my desire for a big V8 Ford when I was younger

+1 - just watched it now - really enjoyed it. Was at the Bathurst in 77 as well so remember the 1-2 that inspired him

What, why?! He comes across as a thoroughly nice guy. Is it a jealousy thing? Good looking, movie star, rich and a racing driver? hehe

He also races a GT3:

Just watched this film. Loved it. Proper petrolhead who hasn't lost sight of his roots/mates. A real person. In fact he seemed lost/uncomfortable at that red-carpet event.

I am wink
Just watched it now. Fantastic. That bit where he says "you'd have to be a fool to do an event like that in a car you cared about" broke my heart!

I loved this film! A proper mans film!

I'm usually a Clarkson fan, but he didn't come across well at all in the film, I don't think him or Leno understood how Eric felt about the car.

It was produced by Bana so I presume the way it looked to him was different. I agree with you though because I thought he kept very quiet as though he didn't agree with much of what Clarkson was telling him. Could be just "the way he is" though - he came across the same on Top Gear to me. I liked him, but he might be one of those hard to read fellas.

It was on SpeedTV here in the States last night, so hopefully it will be available on DVD/Bluray soon. It never made it into any theaters here that I know of. I am incredibly jealous of his life and ability to engage in motor racing like he does. A real shame about the car, it looked and sounded great.

I really rate him.

You NEED to see Chopper. his portrayal of the psycho mad man is enthralling.

More thumbs up from me. Bana seems like just the bloke you'd want to go on the piss with. Watched the DVD a couple of weeks back with a mate. After it'd finished we took his Chimaera out for a blast in the snow just for a V8 engine-noise fix. Didn't end-up 'cosmetically rearranged' like Bana's Falcon thankfully.

I only managed to get hold of a copy of this the other day, and I have to say its in my top ten films well worth watching.

I think they should have showed more of the interview between Bana and Clarkson though as the discussion was quite interesting.
