Why do people constantly rate Vettel so highly. He is great when leading from the front, but has a pretty poor record at most other times.

I would love Schumi to come back!! As if next season wasn't shaping up to be the best ever already! And at 41 years old, would this be a first in F1?
Fangio was 37 when he started racing in Formula 1, and 46 when he won his last championship.

So whatever 'first' you had in mind, the answer is probably "no" hehe
I think he meant fist-ing hehe

Sorry, but I couldn't resist when I saw this pic.

I don't think he will leave the Ferrari fold.

Lets add to this rumour mill and suggest Valentino Rossi to join the Ferrari team in 2011...

I thought it was a problem with his neck, not the fact his hand is back-to-front!

Really?! In a racing role, not just a consultant?

Racing. Apparently the anouncement will be made tomorrow but the news channel caught wind of the preperation of that announcement.

BBC news just reported it on TV, but looking at their story on news.bbc.co.uk the whole story is based on Eddie Jordan's opinion.... Sorry but I'm not gonna get my hopes up for Schumacher vs Hamilton vs Alonso vs Vettel vs Massa (vs Senna vs Villenueve) in 2010 just yet.

I could be proved wrong in 24 hours tho, let's wait and see smile

That EJ opinion has been up for a while now - the word has only just come through on ITV and now BBC also. The announcement will be made tomorrow.

It still could be a massive PR exercise - but that's the word...

I saw that earlier and I thought that EJ was talking bks. IMO no way, no how is he driving for Mercedes next year. I'd love to be wrong though.

I'd love it to be true.... and to be fair, out of all the people that Eddie knows, Schumi and Eddie do go a fair way back... he may have the inside line and being used by Schumi to push certain buttons in the press...

Am I alone in not being excited by this? Schumie in his last season was beginning to lose it and my last recollection was of him parking-up his Ferrari on the track at Monaco towards the end of qualification. For those that rate him wouldn't you rather remember him how he was rather than as a 41 year old fading ex-champion?

Eddie Jordan will look like a total idiot if it doesn't happen, mind you he does anyhow. Personally I hope Schuey stays in retirement, the sport is better off without him IMHO.
He looked like a total idiot when one of his invisible spies told him Massa was "fine".

No - hes got nothing to loose by doing this - hes already proved hes one of the G.O.A.Ts... this will be a great bench mark to see how good these newer drivers really are.

Besides, we've lost Kimi for a year - we need someone like him out there.

Am I alone in thinking that my last recollection of him was driving an amazing race coming from the back of the field at Interlagos?
