...from what I've heard, John Button used to supply Lewis with kart engines many a year ago so I'm sure he and Anthony Hamilton will get along just fine.
That's great, I'd love to know if it's true. Conjures up images of "Big John" sourcin' a few hooky motors and "Cool hand Ant" negotiating a bit of a deal... wink

If the report is true that JB was offered more money to stay at Brawn/Mercedes than he is getting at McLaren then I think he has made a mistake.
At Mercedes he would have been No 1 to Rosberg who I don´t believe would have pushed him terribly hard. Now he is playing 2nd fiddle to Hamilton and will have a much harder job on his hands.
Having said that, I´m looking forward to seeing how he does and hope he is going to surprise a few people.

According to James Allen's blog, Ross Brawn withdrew the deal that was on offrer to Jenson ($8 Million with up to $4 million in performance bonuses) citing that Button's visit to the McLaren factory on friday was a breach of his contract. This then effectively pushed Jenson in to signing the McLaren deal.

It will ONLY be 'Mistake' if thing dont go well for JB!

The same could be said for Every Sportsman in Every Sport when they jump ship for a seemingly better Opportunity!!!!!

You can not Blame anyone for Taking a Chance and Trying to give themselves greater prospects of Success!

Lets face it, The Oppotunity for Jenson to 'Succeed' is No Different, whether he stayed at Brawn/Mercedes or moved to Mclaren!!
...Dare i say, I feel Mclaren is the better bet?......Mercedes may have teething troubles!...Mclaren brings Continuity and Stability within a progressive and established Team.

Good Luck to JB and Lewis (whoever they drive for).....I want to be Entertained clap

Almost certainly true. Back then JB's Rocket Motorsport (if memory serves me) supplied most of the Comer cadet engines to anyone with serious intentions and the money to buy them.
