That actually is a very good option assuming the car has an adjustable FPR.

I actually feel sorry for Mark TBH. He seems damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. This forum seems so bias towards one tuner it's almost a turn off.I am not really interested in who's done what to whom.

We've yet to get the "the car seemed to be running a bit rough on the way up, so I'd better not" smile

actually that was last year and in his defence he did run it.

Good luck with it Paul. Can't afford any detonation on a blown engine or it's curtains so it's essential to check everything over beforehand. Lucky you found it.

There must be a supplier over here, any jap cars using similar injectors? What about cosworths, I've fitted lsx (ls1/6 type) injectors into cosworth v6 turbo's. Are you on an ls2 fitment?

I'm not biased to anyone. If I feel sorry it is for Paul, not anyone else.

indeed! I think the old days of tuner vs tuner are behind us and all moved on. Limits are found in builds from any of the tuners. Go for somethilg wild like wormus and things are bound to break when finding optimal power.

if it had been a simple job then fair enough but this is a lot of work thats going on its a constant learning curve. STill think it would be best to ditch and just get a vxr8

To all you guys that wish me well thanks.

I don't know the exact model of injector except we cannot get hold of one. It's the short stubby type I think.

About 4 weeks ago Mark and I decided to 'go for it' with big boost. He imported a cog drive from the states and spend 2 weeks mapping it. Then the diff broke, followed by the clutch. He worked into the evenings to get it fixed for this event only to find almost by accident that one of the injectors wasn't working. It's just bad luck.

To Mel and others, TBH I'm sick of the snide comments. Any opportunity to have a go you do and I'm tired of it. If it continues I'll just stop coming here. For now, my main priority is to get my car running again.

I hope you all enjoy tomorrow.

Mate sorry to hear the cars not going to be there.
I feel your pain, big power comes with a hefty price, and thats not just monetary. will get the car running. It seems each build has its own advantages, disadvantages and pitfalls that we all have to endure and overcome.
I have no doubt you will get the car sorted and out there.

FWIW mine will be a work in progress for a good long while as well, even though its on the road.

Paul I haven't said anything about your car. I actually said to col a minute ago that it it is shit luck for you. I shouln't have bothered. You've chosen me as usuall but that doesn't supprise me. FWIW i wish you well with your car and was looking forward to seeing it run. But hey like cols just said there's always a positive, at least when you come to sell it it will have low mileage rolleyes

From the Conversation I had with Mark he has tried pretty everywhere inc. places I suggested.

Mark has had the dud injector sonically cleaned and tested over night but no joy. From my understanding the spray pattern is all to cock.

I think my spray pattern would be all to cock with that kind of boost! laugh

Mate I would be a bit pissed too after all that's happened with your build etc. The comments were all a bit tongue in cheek after the last time, but were a bit insensitive under the circumstances. Just get the bastard fixed and give it one!.

I'm expecting to blow mine to bits on the dyno tomorrow if that would be any consolation.smash

No, but the thought made me smile, bung some saw dust in it for good oil pressure The only additional mod I'm making are some scan gauges!

should have gone to monkfish specsavers wink just messing! YEs understandably, I dare say Mark had a "oh no here goes the forum" moment too when the injector went. Too right you are sensitive, I had a similar issue last week after a model had an issue with some work that had been done

Its money, and now you've started you're invested to the finish so you're bound to be taking it personal. Good luck, come along and watch the vectras teach the ro's a thing or two
