Very nice..
Your laptimes were about the same as one of the race XR2s or Mini Coopers in the wet..
At least these laps were put in with courteous driving and consideration for all other cars on track. Would love to be able to say the same for the race XR2 and Mini that were on track that day, but unfortunately, I can't.Your laptimes were about the same as one of the race XR2s or Mini Coopers in the wet..

Also, I think full throttle was only used on 2 parts of the track for short stints

Really? Well I know at least two of those drivers so I shall certainly mention it to them and see what they have to say but from the video it looked to me as if everyone pretty much got out of the way and let the GTR through fairly quickly.. My comment wasn't aimed at being from the GTR's experiences out on track but of my own. I was out doing a cool down lap and one guy in an Orange XR2 race car thought it was be a good idea to try and overtake me on the chicane (not along the straight, but on the actual corner). I also witnessed some very aggressive driving from a black mini tailgating other cars out on track. These "race" drivers need to realise that these are public trackdays and not racedays. A lot of the warnings in the safety briefing were aimed directly at these drivers - not that they took any notice I may add. Tallbut Buxomly said:
Stunning car and looked great fun however would have been more sensible and possibly quicker to stay on tarmac rather than cutting across wet rumble strips and unsettling the car??
It was not about lap times Tallbut, we were trying the car in the wet to see how it performed and that included seeing what happened when we used the kirbs. The current set up is very aggresive for the dry, we wanted to see what this would do to the handling in the wet, safest place for it.....

Patrick check out the GTR Owners Club Forum, we are having a lengthy discussion about this just now, several of us having real issues with the Dunlops in particular in the wet......Also, jammy b
