how rigidly enforced is the noise test. just seen it's 98dbA can't believe many of the cars I've seen on video would meet that, so what's the solution?

thanks

Craig, mark me down chap. thumbup

The M5 needs to stretch it's legs, and see what it can hold it's own against.

Craig, haven't been for a while. Has it been sorted or suggested that a 'leader board' could be erected (or manned is it has to be a two way radio thing) by the ratburger van, so we can see participants' progress through out the day? Love the event, but haven't got a clue what's going on until we get back and see people's (claimed??) speeds.

I know you write the number on the back of the car/screen/body, but have you tried on the front RH side wing or rear RHs Arch (suitably paint/wax/paintshield friendly) so that your 'spotter' can radio back a no - equating to our PH name (or car?) to be placed on a board - TG stylie so we can see what the fook is going on during the day?

This would also make photography good (without numbers) from the left hand, front, or rear of the vehicle.

Just a blue sky thought.

Give 'em a laptop with a 3G data card and a website to update to.

Then a simple mobile interface to read the results.

Wouldn't take a day.

A whiteboard and a marker would do... people just write their speeds when they get back...

Get a grip man, that would prevent the gratuitous use of technology!

hehe

Gratuitous use of technology may be hindered by poor 3G reception...

Don't think it needs anything custom built. Presumably we could set up a VMax blog or FaceAche account which could be updated by the timing guys from a mobile, and read by everyone else subscribed as 'friends' from their mobiles. smile

its something that yes I've thought about, will look into options before the big day, well suggested Lucky, keep ideas coming on how to do it and i'll keep an eye as well as making my own enquiries.

as an aside, would anyone be interesting in a vmax track car that could be made available & hired for hot laps with an instructor either driving or passengering and offering advice?

Potentially, or if the instructor would like to get in my car and tell me how the fook to drive.

You will have email shortly.

A capable instructor in site would be handy, Soph will have a new car for this Vmax and I'm buggered if I'm going out with her, she scared me enough in her old carsmile
