Not so sure about the Sag. I do like them on the Tuscan, they seem more at home and blend in. If they fitted the whole width of the Sag, they would not just look like an add on.

Everyone to their own.

Just resealing my headlamp lenses and thought I would try this.

Not convinced for me but thought I would do a mock up for those who like DRL's

Just DRL

One DRL & side both lamps

Lamp Off- mock up-

Very nice Graham.

Where did you get the rings from?
I have a set of halo rings for a BMW X5 that I tried to fit, but they are too big frown

Any other pics? - closeup without the headlight cover on?

Graham, they look quite good. Personally I'll just put my headlights on when I feel I need more visibility.

Really don't like either of them, to be honest. But then I don't like DRLs at all; especially Audi's row of fairy lights.
So it was inevitable I couldn't like trying to emulate them. smile

Very nice! Quite a subtle look!

Are these switchable or have you wired it through the ignition?

Cheers

If I was going to fit them I would wire using modified redundant front fog lamp wire loom and switching etc

Jury is still out for me though

I prefer the 1st one on tuscans and G's on the sagaris, I think they would look pretty smart to be honest both wired, especially in the day, At night I think it depends how bright your other lights would be

i think this type of 'upgrade' will be very hard to pull off in terms of making it look quality. Graham's seems to be the best solution but i can imagine some of the 'stick-on' types looking a bit barry-boy/kevin'd...

Ok, time for another holy thread resurrection, batman.

I recently put DRLs on my Sag and was quite pleased with the result. They are not exactly like Graham's and can be switched off it wanted, so here are a few pics. I'm sure they are not to everyone's taste, but most people seem to like them. They are not too much in your face, but give a good effect.

The light quality isn't brilliant I'm afraid, but best I can do atm.

Really don't like DRLs, the more I see them on Audis, Mercs and Beamers the less I like them. Or should that be more I hate them. It's another example of a stupid EU rule that has to fit the entire EU area but is really only of benefit to Scandinavian countries in winter

You're probably right!

Now if you were doing a headlight conversion for the Tamora I'd be interested, the lamps look like something pulled off a 50s Land Rover

I appreciate that these are a marmite subject but have to say that when its pissing down with rain and the idiots with slate gray cars cant be a**ed to put head lights on at least you have a chance of seeing them through the spray etc if they have the DRLs. Its perhaps just a bit sad that we have to have so much legislation that could be avoided if people actually thought about their driving rather than being an auto pilot. All IMHO of course.
Alex did you look at putting the lights on the curve at the bottom of the headlight? just wonder if following that shape might make them look more a part of the original design.

We played with a few ideas, but in the end this was the easiest to do and IOHO gave the best effect and visible light. I didn't want to go playing with taking apart the main lights or putting them on the spoiler due to complexity and it didn't look right somehow.

Not at the moment, the fords are flooded and can't get the car out. I will try over the weekend if the weather is better and I'm around.

Sorry Alex what I meant was attached to the body under the headlight so that it followed the curve not actually behind the perspex cover.
