I was in my teens in the 80s. Aaaaah, Samantha - my first love, and a very, very dirty girl for 14! (I was 14 too, btw!)
I wouldn't put it in a Land Rover either.

Ah yes, the "body". As South American inspired tidy topiary hadn't been invented in the '80s, and women were still proudly hirsute "down there", one had to be very careful when grabbing the escape hatch and pulling it open.

The era when Rovers were still prestige cars, before they glued a Rover grille and a bit of wood dash to a cheap hatchback and thought it'd it make a premium small car rather than drag the company down to it's level. Good job no one would be that dumb now. **cough** Cygnet.

Still a great looking car. Ahead of it's time methinks. Shame about build quality & reliability!

Are you thinking of the Yamaha DT50?

I had a Suzuki AP50 in the Eighties. Here it is in 1985 with best mate's blue one.

They were simultaneously the coolest and the slowest bike on the road if you were 16!

A mate had one, you could play tunes with 3rd, 4th and 5th without affecting the 30mph top speed one jot! Looked fantastic though.
