Slightly OT, when was the last time you saw a set of TSW Venoms.
There's a set near me on an old 306.

The OE R53 MCS 16" wheels always remind me of them as well

I liked these on my old Gordini (this isn't my old Gordini).

I think the trick is that the spokes have to be bigger than the slots. So Saab three spokes "work" and certain others don't.

I saw that in Meadowhall car park before it went shopping. It was a right pile of ste. looked like a monkey had put it together.
What is it about Meadowhell? I was in there (it was an emergency alright?) and spotted an E36 with smoked out rear lights. Oh no wait, I mean standard rear lights he'd stretched his mum's tights over!

If they're four-spokes, then the Smart Roadster has six-spokes.

Spokes?

Unfortunately hubless wheels remind me too much of the horrible earrings that you see a lot of these days.

I bought this in the 90s with these fitted. Looked good at the time but now, not. That said the stock 16v GTE wheels were not nice.

Surely 3 spokes are great compared to these though:

my god how could i forget my first car, a b reg nova 1.3SR with those slotted three spokes.

mine was silver, but it still had the gorgeous brown/brown tartan recaro interior.

on a different note, that car had one of my favorite dashboards of all time-six dials!

The myth suggests the tool crash it on purpose to cash in on the free insurance policy that came with it, but apparently he didn't read the small print which said in the event of total lose the moeny went back to the mag. No idea if that is true or not.

3 Spokes as a rule are nasty things though. A few expections, such as the Smart Roadster, Range Rover, etc.

I had a Nova GTE with those wheels as my first car.
Never did like the wheels much.

In fact the only things I did like about that car was the engine, gearbox, great visibility and I did actually like the styling.
