Luk are the biggest supplier of clutches & i fit loads of them very rare to have an issue & i really wouldnt be suprised if they make the oe clutch for Vauxhall.
If you can get the kit number then you should be able to get the kit from Euro car parts or similar.
Thanks Neil, ill try and source the kit number.

By the time you import the clutch, pay shipping, import duties etc, it really isnt going to be much cheaper than a UK source.
The Corvette and Camaro etc do use the same clutch/flywheel although their slave cylinder has a quick release fitting on it instead of the silly solid pipe the Aussie cars use.
No big deal as the main body is the same so should be an easy swap of fittings.
I'd be amazed if LuK offered a replacement clutch in the UK for them though.

While saving costs are always good. Unless you are fitting the clutch yourself, having the installer supply/fit makes far more sense.Should there be any problem or warranty issue, you have that same person to go back to. If you supplied any of the parts yourself for someone else to install. If there is an issue, you will be covering any repair costs as there is no way someone else can warranty parts supplied by others.

Why couldnt they supply Stick ?
becouse its a american spec clutch
Why do some of these UK OE parts manufacturers impose restrictions on selling what they make to UK customers? So what if it's an American spec clutch? It's an American spec engine and box isn't it, and we know the clutch does the job in a Monaro and VXR8. I had a similar problem with AP back in 2004 when I was trying to source a set of new AP's. Even though they make the brakes, they said they couldn't supply and I had to get them from Australia. Obviously these companies prefer to sell through distributors, but even the distributors that I contacted at the time, said they couldn't buy them from AP, even though the part numbers were all listed on their computer systems.

Although AP make and supply the discs for the monaro the "design" is owned by HSV and they had exclusive rights to all production to meet their requirements. The only kits we originally got to the UK were spares leftover from the production run effectively. Least that was the story I had heard.

Ah ha, I see! And there was I thinking the brakes were an AP design modified to fit the Monaro. Eventually I'm going to need a new set of discs and a clutch. I've heard that there is now a pattern version of the AP discs available, it would be good if a clutch could eventually be sourced in the UK too

Impose restrictions ? I dont see how it is a restriction. It isnt in their UK catalogue, so why would you expect them to be able to supply it in the UK ? It's not like there's a market for thousands of sales to make it worth their while stocking it in the UK.Sure just look at Vauxhall, and they sell the damn cars ! How many threads have there been on here where Vauxhall have taken months to supply parts for them ? Vauxhall should have stocks, they should have a ready supply, they have parts listed on their system. Then when you need them, they cant supply.
At least LUK are not claiming they have parts, not claiming they can supply parts in the UK.

There are already multiple clutch suppliers in the UK ( not including the Vauxhall dealers themselves )
Certainly front discs are no problem. It's the rears that get awkward because of the handbrake drum.
