They've done the crying at the press conference thing - tick.
He's got facial hair - tick
They are scumbags - tick
The confession should be along in about three months time.

All they ve got do now is find the culprits and what do we reckon they ll get? community service or 6 months?
I doubt that very much. I can't recall anyone convicted of murder getting a six month community order as a sentence. Can you let us know of some specific examples you are aware of?
I think the reality is that if they do get someone, they'll cop to a lesser charge maybe or go for diminished responsability. Sadly I very much doubt those responsible will get done for murder.

Might be my poor gramma, but i ment 6 months sentence OR community service. but as has just been stated above they ll plead for a lesser charge judge will buy in to it and they ll get some piss pot sentence.

Well, you specifically mentioned murder convictions so my response was in relation to that specific point.

When someone kills someone else - even if it is the result of a delberate and perhaps violent action - that does not always mean they have committed murder as it is defined in English Law.

With the tragic criminal deaths of this many children I think the authorities will work flat out to get the evil morons who did this. Eric Mc is quite right, the charges will reflect the seriousness of the crime

Arson with Intent to Endanger Life, seems very probable to me. Very serious charge could be 10 years on every offence. These are multiple crimes.

What an appalling waste. Desperately sad. Dreadful comment on the evil perpetrators.

Whoever it was, knows it was them and no doubt that conscience will be weighing heavily with 6 deaths.
It may not what they wanted but it's what has happened and that will be a large weight to carry.

If we look at the sentence here

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cambridgeshir...

then for the Derby incident, it should (but never is) a matter of multiplying by 6.

Put another way...he or she should die in prison.

It has gone far beyond the point where a life sentence should mean precisely that: life.

I think you'll find his remarks were more a tongue in cheek dig at the very lax justice system we have in this country.

Really? If you had that many children and 6 of then died would you not cry?
He may be a 'scumbag' and 'live off the taxpayer' but that doesn't mean in any way he deserves that!

I agree. I am not defending or criticising the lifestyles of the family. I suggest we let the experts form their view. Until then I would make mo comment. We do not know any of the facts.

Speculation over such a desperately tragic waste of young life, is not helpful.

There have been rumours in the local area about this over the last week, and this has just cropped up on bbc news - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-derbyshire-18...

Quite. Clearly not a coincidence.

I do hope the authorities have got the case nailed down. Whoever did this appalling act of multiple murder deserves nothing less life imprisonment, which should mean the whole of the rest of their lives.
