Yeah - you do know! I know what you mean about not being able to talk about it. The wife asked me why I was just sitting there with the shocked look on my face and I couldn't explain because she's only finished book 2 and she said she'd kill me if I told her

At that point I texted my son whom had read the book before me and I just said OMG! I just hope they do it properly on TV when they get there.

I know exactly what bit you are talking about from that description Can't wait to see that in the TV show.

Edit: I had to re read that chapter immediately after finishing it just to make sure I hadn't missed anything.

It might not happen in the 3rd season if they go ahead with their plans to split book 3 into 2 seasons.

Looking at casting calls for season 3 one of them is a fit for Meera Reed so that could still happen.

They also want lots of amputees which could be useful for battle scenes.

Character interaction is excellent, especially varys/tyrion/bronn and jaime/brienne. Also ygritte is perfect.

I think I read this very bit last night - just mental. Was very shocked, but should have expected it with the nature of the books so far.
