Nope. Been too busy with work and dealing with the fallout from the TVR crash frown Now we have confirmation the Chim is getting repaired I might see if I can get it moved over to my mate's garage in the next few weeks.

First serious problem reared it's big fat ugly head this week: Brunhilda doesn't want to start. Turns over just fine but won't fire up.

Very nearly six months later, still a no go frown

Surely amongst the PH collective there's someone with the knowledge?

Meant to update this thread last week.

On Thursday we had finally had it dragged off to a friend's garage. He's going to tinker with it when he has the odd moment until a) it works again, or b) it's pronounced well and truly dead. In either case it's getting sold, whether it be as a whole car (working or not) or as parts.

If you look up the definition of 'bork' in a dictionary it will simply say 'see BMW 750iL' frown

I think back to this thread every time I get tempted to chop my LS in for a V12 something-or-other. Convert it to carbs and dizzy! biggrin

Just spoke with my mechanic mate - Brunhilda lives again! woohoo

Still some more fiddling to do to properly de-bork her, but still...

More news when I have it...

Excellent news!

Now, what was the problem!?!
7/5F - user error
10/1 - battery
12/1 - relay / fuse
15/1 - sparks

hehe

Pleased to hear she lives, be a shame for another to be broken up.

Do share the fault with us!

Only have bare details at the moment. No power to the coils. My mate ran a by-pass and it starts and runs. Just needs to trace back the fault now. I'll bet it's something really, really stupid like a fuse or relay...

Now all you have to worry about is timing chain tensioners wink Unless they have been done?
