Will see what I can do. Camera and laptop prepared.

Slept fine. Not that excited yet. I think it'll sink in once I get to the dealer.

Forecast down south looks ok for this evening. Then going on a bit of a tour of Britain to run it in. Booked in for a full detail when we get back.

The 981 in Agate/Pebble is featured in Autocar, it gets 4 1/2 stars.

The colour combo looks really classy.

Ordered my Boxster S yesterday, GT silver and full red interior but sports wheel to dampen the red steering wheel. Speced most things except special, sadly I had to have the 14 way seats as the standard give me a bad back. Took me days to decide on colour as they all look good. Stayed with 19" wheels just could not justify 1700 for the wheels as shown in the Porsche videos , I do prefer but you can always add later.also I think you get a slightly better ride with the 19" ,went for gold centres. I got an August build slot so delivery likely early oct maybe. Got to £64k that's enough I feel , feel a bit miffed that more is not standard. Still IMO one of the bet looking cars on the road and certainly the best looking Porsche and £35 k cheaper than the over priced 991 but only 0.5 sec slower.

I think i would add the carrera classics just to finish it off - the ride is really not bad assuming you have PASM !

As soon as I drove the car I noticed the "occasional gearbox shunt" mentioned by Autocar in its negatives. Unacceptable in my opinion on a car at that price, especially a sports car.

How come none of you guys who've bought or ordered cars have mentioned it? Or have you all gone for the manual transmission instead of PDK?

I have mentioned it somewhere !

It is not great but doesn't do it in sports or sports plus mode so that solves that problem!

Will mention it if it as to go in for anything - they can sort the rattle too!!!!

Not mentioned it as I have not experienced on demo cars to date - Please keep us informed 535Dboy.
