I stand to be corrected. But, I've always been under the impression that car clubs are asked to parade, rather than individual owners.

AFAIK, there is a parade on Sunday - there may be parades on the other days too. My club were invited onto the Sunday lunch hour parade last year. Unfortunately, due to overheating problems, I didn't risk it. I didn't want to return to the pits on a low loaded biggrin

However, I've heard that the club has once again asked onto the Sunday parade. Hopefully, I'll make it this time.

The BMW Car Club are supposed to be having a parade lap for the Zedfest cars so I know that it seems to be down to invited clubs.

Are there allocated pitches or is it a case of just pitching tents and gazebos wherever you like?
I phoned and asked and it's a free for all by all accounts. No marked pitches.

Thank you, very useful. Mind you I am starting to wish that I had booked a nearby Travelodge!

Think we're going to duck out and get a B&B now.... Shame really!

I've got a 3 day pass available if anyone wants one? £50?

I am sure it will be sunny and fine and that we will all be grumbling about the dust in a few days time. laugh

Statement said:
The Organisers of the Silverstone Classic 2012 made a new inspection of Woodlands Campsite at 12noon Tuesday 17th July. The grass areas in the campsite are damp after the recent heavy rain but sufficient areas are still usable. The Organisers recommend that all campers come prepared for wet weather camping with suitable clothing and footwear. The Campsite managers have vehicles for towing any vehicle that does encounter a problem.

That's good to know as its the Sunday I'm going on.

Does anyone know of a timetable of events on the Sunday? It's the F40 parade lap I'm most interested in.
