Looks like up to ten people have been shot dead at a showing of the new Batman film in Denver,Colorado.

BBC News 24 saying local news are reporting "at least 20 dead" - more than Columbine. Very sad.

I don't think Ledger committed suicide because he played the Joker.

You're taking quite a big leap there to call it cursed based on two incidents. Not least because Ledger's death was (officialy at least) an accident.

I know theres a fair few on here who like their guns and are perfectly responsible with them. And I know guns don't kill people people do. But when you make it easy for said people to massacre innocent civilians then you have a problem. Always makes me glad we have tighter controls over here when tragedies like this happen

Terrible story. Not speculating who was responsible but this kind if terror attack is far more achievable for the perps than convoluted bomb schemes.

Ironically, and I don't mean to be glib by quoting the film, Alfred explains it pretty well in The Dark Knight when he says "some men just want to watch the world burn".

Horrible thing to happen, just horrible. I feel sorry for all those involved.
