Discussing which BMW has the best damped vent controls is not good for anyone. Back to the barges:

A smart family wagon for a pittance.

Funny ad that. The previous time it was advertised it had a bit of a story to go with it. Something to do with contract now ended at work and thus surplus to requirements. Mmmmm.

Agreed on the wood, I am not a fan of the carbon stuff at all.

You never know. A neighbour is working on transport at the Olympics so has bought a Legacy that he leaves down in London to use there, it will no doubt be surplus to requirements at the end of September. When I was contracting I did consider buying a car for the commute, though a thirst 2.5V6 wouldn't have been a good choice, in the end I just ended up spending more on petrol and using the 328, it turned out to be suprisingly economical on the motorway so buying a Golf diesel would have been a total waste of money.Fox- said:

I see where you are coming from, but it isn't really that inspiring, or sporty. It's huge!
Not driven a car with one in to be honest. I just remember seeing them in 1995 when no one could really design a steering wheel and just thinking how well packaged it was. I'm not a massive fan of later ones though they do feel greatI see where you are coming from, but it isn't really that inspiring, or sporty. It's huge!

THE BAD
front tyres will need replacing for MOT in October
on-board computer complains that the key doesn't respond when you stop - new key may be needed, although it never caused a problem
air con is not cold - may need re-gassing.
I'm still waiting for the log book to come through, so unless it arrives before auction close, you may need to apply for the log book from DVLA, or I can send on later.
THE RULES
I will not hold this car. The buyer must arrange collection within 48 hours of auction close.

You would be surprised, it took about 2 and a half months for the logbook for my ST24 to appear. Previous owner must have forgotten to send the slip off. Even still, there is something a bit dodgy about that car. Still want one mind!
