Didn't want to start a thread on the new season like I did last year so early.
Anyway, season three starts on October 14th in the States. Not sure entirely on the UK one.
Here's the first trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShQz68Zkb3Y
And some production photos: http://blogs.amctv.com/photo-galleries/the-walking...
Looks really good. Seemingly more action this time round - which is what the fans want.

Why don't they eat her?
They don't have lower jaws and they're chained up.To be fair though, judging by what I recall of last season's last episode, they weren't properly chained up, just on chains a few feet behind her.
Perhaps it's a sort of 'zombies-sort-of-know-their-past' thing which has been explored in the films.

Finally watched the last episode and I have to say after the reasonable promise of the first season, that was utter utter garbage. Boring, silly plot line, and characters who I now pretty much dislike to a man.
Hope to God they can pull it back in season three.
At the risk of being in a minority, I ended up really enjoying Season 2.Hope to God they can pull it back in season three.
I started watching it when it aired on FX but fell behind partly due to not particularly enjoying it.
However, when I caught up with it again when C5 aired it, my opinion of it changed.
It wasn't as good as Season 1 but there were enough elements to make the whole enjoyable.
For example, I particularly liked Rik's transition from noble lawman to a more ruthless killer.
I think the Season played the safe option by setting the majority of it on a farm so only hope Season 3 has more of a focus on the group actually trying to find a new sanctuary and any associated journey.

The farm setting will have saved a considerable amount of money. No need to close roads, hire extras and private houses, build and decorate sets etc. An old farm with knackered outbuildings lends itself well to being trashed and set on fire. Doing the same on a residential street with houses costing a couple hundred grand each, not so much.
Hopefully viewing figures dropped enough from Season 1 to 2 that they won't cheap out for Season 3. I give the show a fair amount of stick, but it is still worth a watch for it's comedic element.

Judging by the preview trailers they're setting S3 around 2 main locations - the prison and a town, which will be a big improvement from them sitting around on that farm and talking.Hopefully viewing figures dropped enough from Season 1 to 2 that they won't cheap out for Season 3.
