The problem is (rather like the dressage), it's really bloody difficult to explain stuff without using the jargon, which, unfortunately, makes it appear rather elitist.

Re. the dressage. The control those people have over the horses is absolutely phenominal.

They're definitely the gay horses.. The ones who did ballet at school instead of rugby.

biggrin
I did ballet at school. I was hugging hotties round the waist and watching girls change into leotards in the back of mums Volvo as she drove us all there.

You were showering with a bunch of sweaty naked dudes.

Which smacks more of cock lovin'?

Those horses are definately light in the loafers though.

So with GB third in the medals table, has any of the countries below us stand a chance of beating us?

I doubt South Korea has many track and field specialists and the other countries seem a long way off, especially as the US may hover up quite a few of the track golds.

Sports that haven't started yet include BMX, mountain bike, rhythmic gymnastics, Taekwon-Do and Modern Pentathlon.

"Nice" Korea should do well in the TKD, but we're quite a way ahead of them...

Apparently I do. When I posted this, they were showing Catalina Ponnor of Romania in Bronze, but it seems they've subsequently changed their mind and given it to some American teenager.

Meanwhile, over in the dressage, the commentator actually said "ooh, this is one of her good bits - the extended walk! Just look at that walk!" and yes, the horse was just walking across the sand.

Similarly to Australia, what has happened to Russia? They had 23 golds overall in Bejing, they have 7 so far
