You don't need me to tell you this but take it VERY easy ... you will need to re-calibrate your sense of speed after the TT600.

The forks on the 5PW (injection model) are 43mm ... earlier R1's have the 41mm forks...

Next thing I'll be being told to change the forks on a bike I've just bought and not even ridden yet. It's getting a full service and I'll do the fork oil soon and then it's going to get used.

Change the fork oil and get the bike setup by KAIS for your weight... that's all it needs

There is a UK R1 forum as well but they are a bit quiet ... r1forum.com is full of americans who love adding pointless tat to their bikes ... - useful info on there mind.
