I always forget about this race, which is annoying as a I have a friend I could stay with for free in Singapore.
Anyway.
Maldonado for the win; no particular reason apart from watching this forum explode.
hehe

I predict Red Bull to be a lot stronger here. Toss up between them, the Mclarens and the Lotus guys. Alonso to qualify lower, but somehow come through strong.

I do have a feeling Hamiltons car may not make it though for some reason..

They are split by a mechanical failure. Lewis hardly seems like a team player, I doubt Jenson will be as accommodating at the moment.

Thanks Dan. I'm not sure what our itinerary is yet (we're being taken by a client), but I'll give it a go...

Hamilton is usually around 5-1 NOT to be classified in each race result.

Had you had a similar bet on Schumacher for each race for the first half of the season, you'd be quids in!

Now he's usually around 2 or 3-1 NOT to be classified. Sod's Law dictates that he'll probably not have another DNF during the rest of the season or, fail to finish in any ... smile

You pays yer money ... or, not..

Not sure about that, mechanical failures tend to even themselves out.

What about Lewis qualifying on pole by half a second in Spain and starting from 24th?

Reason he ended up 24th was mechanical technically....

It is true. Had Lewis had the failure, he wouldn't have the 25 points, and Jenson would have won or at least come second. So pretty even points wise, all because of one mechanical failure.

The thing is if Lewis has a mechanical failure and button wins this race all that will mean is they will both be out the WDC this year

so while he has the extra 25 points they need to focus on lewis

The team's focus is on the CC, if a WDC comes along then that's great. I can imagine JB allowing LH past if there's no risk to the overall team haul being dented but not in other circumstances. Unlike TheHeretic I don't hold his low opinion of LH's personality and think, even if he's on the way out to Mercedes, would do the right thing for the team and JB's title were the positions reversed.

Is the order in which they'll crash into one another and retire.
hehe

Realistically, in my opinion, Mclaren will either be immense or disappointing, Lotus will either be very quick or disappointing and RBR and Ferrari will slot in around them. A lot has changed since Valencia (most similar circuit) and I think that Mclaren's pace at Hungary shouldn't be ignored, which was another similar circuit. But the allocation of soft and super soft tyres will have a huge effect.

well, she's a steward for the upper classes, so it could be either.

Where did I say anything about his personality? I said I don't think he is much of a team player, but it is not a low opinion, he is just not someone I cheer for.
