Wonder if she kept an old tin of full strength Nitro- Mors just for this eventuality, the new stuff would barely stain the lacquer . That shows proper forward planning.

A friend of mine (who I believe is also a PHer, from memory!) did something similar to his Golf the other day, he had a tin of white emulsion in the boot that apparently exploded while parked at work, and coated the boot in white emulsion.

Ouch.

The keying down the side reads 'slut', 'wka', 'HTC'.

Why take it out on the car?

Because often people that do these things know that the owner loves their car, so it's an easy (and cowardly) way to "hurt" someone.

I had a similar thing happen to me, not nice at all. What's worse is the fear that they'll do it again, which is why I never bothered reparing the car, for the s to do it again.

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

People that do things like that are the biggest cowardly s out there, if you have a problem with someone, then sort it out with them if you're a big man.

Does HTC stand for something? Not the phone laugh but is it some sort of slang for something?

When i was a teenager and used to work part-time in a body repair garage, we'd often see this sort of thing.

however 9 times out of 10 it was the owner looking for insurance payout because they couldn't pay the loan/lease.

Generally the more vandalism done, the more likely it is the owner did it.

No doubt if caught, they'll have a jolly good criminal record, probably a prison sentence and the car owner will simply get a new car with his insurance. Not such a biggie for the victim.
