What a plank. Wish more got tickets for parking where they shouldn't.

See people all the time on zig zags, can't remember the last time I saw one getting a ticket.
People regularly park on the zigzags to use a local cashpoint - one day I noticed one on the actual crossing (blocking people from crossing) and there was a Police Car coming so I flagged-him-down and pointed to the car

"Hmmm" he says "that's 3 points and £65 that is - I'll sort it" - the owner is returning to the car and he gets a "drive around the corner" and a telling-off and that's it.

Same car I've seen parked there many, many times since - well done PC Plod, you achieved nothing.

It's also worth noting that our local Police keep running articles in the local papers which say things like "You'd not expect the Police to deal with parking but one sunny Sunday that's just what they did" and I'm thinking "if they don't do this - who the fk will?". Our local traffic warden appears about once a month - it's comedic.

neighbors parking because there was no space on the street.

selfish pricks!
I know that I may get flamed for this for daring to damage a vehicle, but if this was parked on my street, I'd squeeze between the car and the wall, and if the wing mirror became tangled in my anorak pocket and was damaged, then perhaps that might put them off doing it again.

As an aside, did you mention anything to the owners? (just curious, I probably wouldn't have, as nearly every time I've commented on a persons parking, I've been told to feck off and mind my own business)

Print out a "Police Aware" notice on your home PC and glue it to their drivers door window.

You could ring the local police station (not 999) to tell them of the silly parking, so that you have made them aware first they don't have to do anything just receive the call but don't have to smile

I did mention it.. i just got greeted with an indifferent shrug.. they're new neighbors, and since this incident they've dumped a dirty mattress in the front yard.. along with various other chavvy bits and bobs frown

im hoping this is just whilst they're in the transition phase of moving in and redecorating... but i suspect that im just fooling myself frown

Confused, have they parked there because the Corsa is parked in two spaces? and that's maybe the front of their house?

Yes its the front of the "yaris" drivers house ( my neighbor ).. but does that justify his actions?

If there isn't a specific parking place for each resident then no, is there? If not then they are clearly of the type that think that only they can park on a public road outside their home.

One that entertained us tonight, going into Morrisons, some crapbox Nissan which had seemingly been half heartedly attempted to be parked in a disabled spot without a badge. However, half of the car was sticking out into the road, and the other was on the yellow cross hatching between the space and the road. Girlfriend and I had a laugh when he chap comes wandering over, putting on a limp as he went by us and we realised it was his car. It doesn't matter if you are disabled or not, still parked like an asshat. Sadly didnt get the photo
