like I said on that other thread, the reason I was looking at your fhc was because it is the 2+2 but after seeing the back seats I realised it wasnt really much more practical (and easier to get past the OH) and I would be better waiting for what I really wanted which was the convertible.
I really like the look of your car especially with those wheels on and it must go well now after the work you had done.
Hi
My weekend work was sorting the winking headlight on the SEAC in Maidstone services, following the Belgium trip. So we could drive back to Cambs!
Pulled the three relays and diode to find which one was the trouble. Found the correct one and it stopped the winking OK put the other two back in and the diode.
No head lights at all
Andy "Mr Sheen" wound up the dead offside headlight motor!
Tried again the nearside came up OK but no light!
Well the driving lights still came on when we put on the main beam, so we could drive home like that, but I was not happy.
So I pulled the light relays again and the diode.
I cleaned all the contacts just in case.
Put them back in apart from the offside one and then put the diode back in.
Tried again and they worked OK so we had the headlights.
I think the diode was not pushed home the first time round!
The thing which I have to now to find, is were is the hole is for the emergancy use when you need to wind up the nearside headlight!
On the off side it was in the wheel arch (On the normal wedge its either underneath or on some early cars in the engine compartment!) But we could not find it anywere on the nearside?
Any idea's?
Andy

Have been silly busy recently, so well behind schedule, but...
Replaced rear N/S wheel bearing today, and set the clock to BST.
MOT test in the next week or two, then my first trip out will be to the Tatton Park classic car show in Cheshire on 1st & 2nd June, hope to see some other 'wedgers' there.
Chris.

I'm off to the Alps on Weds with my motorcycling posse, so the wedge has taken a back seat whilst I've been fannying around with the bike... it's a Honda, so not much to do really other than check the tyre pressures and make sure it has fuel in
Still not sourced the necessary suspension bushes for the car, but the propshaft has been overhauled and the silencer repacked with a Kilo of stainless steel wire wool so progress is being made, albeit slowly. I'm going to renew the rear brake lines in CuNiFe whilst I've got the best access possible.
Meanwhile, I got one of those GoPro cameras not so long back, been busy designing and machining a bike mount for it to give a different camera angle to that offered by the usual stick-on mountings... so a bit of this:

...some of that...

and a touch of the other:

Well, it keeps me off the streets

Looks like the mount will be pretty heavy....some of that...

Don't you like Aluminium ?

It is aluminium! It's a slab of 12mm plate that's slotted to fit around the steel sub-plate that supports the topbox rack... but you're right in a way: that 80 x 60mm bit of alloy weighs more than the rest of the bracketry and the camera put together Don't you like Aluminium ?

Standing on my head...

Just replacing the fuse / relay panel after surgery.
The MR2 pod motors work perfectly, I had 3 wires to move about in the fuse box, the two grounds for the relay coils for the pod motor relays need disconnecting, along with the brown positive supply to the contacts on the pod control relay, the control relay input is then grounded and the brown wire used to feed the two sets of relay coils on the pod motor relay (colours correct for my 400SE..)
Completed job from above :

And Below :

To say I'm pleased with the mod is probably an understatement, hopefully I won't have to mess this again.
I also noticed at Mallory yesterday that the the MK1 MX5 uses the same pod motor....
