i have a new tenuous link,

i pissed off Mark Ruffalo *hulk smash* on twitter by disagreeing about climate change being a solely man-made phenomenon
Oh, is he a famous scientist or climatologist as well as actor?

Celebrity activist isn't he - read his resume a few years back when the Zodiac Killer film came out. He seems to spend so much time campaigning I wonder he has time to act.

I was sat next to this pretty blonde girl at school - lets call her Michaela Strachen. On the first day I introduced myself and said I was seated next to her, she replied "Poor me."

For some reason I still remember this comment clearly 35 years later.

I also knew Katie Staples well from school, quite a good friend actually, known to the public as the Gladiator 'Zodiac'.

And my maths teacher, he went on to become quite a good make-up guy in the movie industry - Nick Dudman.

Meet plenty of actors with work, once minded a kid from Harry Potter at a US convention as a favour - damn he attracted hot girls (and one stalker).

On the subject of Florida, I also met a couple of actors there too - Ron Jeremy and Bridget Powers, haven't seen all their movies yet . . . most, but not all...

Nearly ran over the vicar from Emmerdale the other day and see his on screen missus quite often in Sainsburys.
My wife used to be MP Claire Shorts' lodger and her dad married John Peel (the vicar, not the bride).
I bought a model kit from Keith Chegwin at Silverstone.
Sat next to that rower bloke who got ttted by a truck mirror on a flight last year (can't remember his name). Never spoke. How rude.

The bloke who played Hagrid walked past the flat my mum rented in penzance once. I was on the balcony with a mate smoking.

My brother in law works for Jay Kay (and yes, he does get to drive some of his cars, lucky bd)

And these blokes aren't famous themselves, but you did say 'tenuous':

I once worked with one of the original members of OMD (when they were called The Id or something)
I'm friends on Facebook with the bass player from Gary Moore's old band and Jethro Tull
I once met Alice Coopers drummer in a random bar somewhere in the middle of Finland, and at the same time met a bloke that played harmonica with the Jeff Healey Band......was a strange night that one

Last weekend Niki Lauda brushed past me. I may have registered momentarily in his subconscious.

I met Rolf Harris in a public toilet dressed as a Druid, naked from the waste down after struggling through a window, and sung 'two little boys' to him with my mate. We asked him to join us, Rolf said 'not today fellas', and then his minder threatened to punch my mate because he was trying to give Rolf a hug.

Burt Reynolds sent me a signed baseball cap after I wrote to him (I was smokey and the bandit mad at the time after seeing it on ITV

I woke up on the Chesterfield Managers sofa at his house the night after the clubs draw with Middlesborough in semi final of the FA cup. I made it onto SKY TV as well - as a loyal chesterfield fan. The night before was the first time i had ever been to Chesterfield.

I met Anthea Turner at a hotel in Skegness when she was at the peak of her powers - and rather hot, if I recall
