hehe great episode that was.

My SIL actually hurt herself pretty bad when slipping in the shower, and I said: yep, the cause of that is the lack of adhesive ducks.

They all looked at me like I was some kind of retard frown.
You are in a good way smile

I have started quoting crap from tbbt frown

I watched the "lastest" US episode last night (fourteen), and this thread had spoilt it for me! Not the way you think though, Penny mentioned about her new bikini, I knew straight away we weren't going to see it as there weren't any pictures on here!

I thought the latest episode was the "Bon Voyage Reaction"

Leonard goes off for four months to work on a ship in the north sea and Raj can finally talk without alcohol after breaking up with Lucy.

As much as love TBBT, I think they need to make the next series the last one.

I agree. It's lost the geekiness and become friends. It needs more xkcd type jokes.

Yea, they've diluted all the characters quirks, stuck them in couples and now it feels like they don't know what to do with them any more.

I think they are naturally taking them toward an ending. I think they know exactly what they are doing.

The characters are all older now. They are starting to settle. Its accurate and realistic.

I think some key story arcs will be followed to their conclusion and then the series will end for good.

For example, Penny and Leonard will finally get engaged / slash married with Penny proposing ( this is already set up ). Sheldon and Amy will finally get physical and Sheldon will have matured and learnt the value of relationships - you can imagine the "Ah.." from the live audience already.

And someone will get pregnant I predict.

And then the TBBG will be over !

That's the reason for the quotes, when I watched it last night UK time, the latest one hadn't aired in the US yet.

It's heading that way.

There'll be a season 7, maybe 8, but I can't see it being spun longer than that

The problem is that the Americans don't know when to stop a sitcom in the same way that us Brits do, with the likes of The Office and Extras, Fawlty Towers, Little Britain (maybe one season too long), The Mighty Boosh, Blackadder, The IT Crowd, etc.

I think TBBT could have been epic if they'd planned it to have 4 or 5 seasons.

You seldom see said sprig though. Mind you, even before the sprig it was getting a bit 'get on with it'.

Agreed. I enjoy HIMYM but I'm starting to not care - it feels a bit spun out and contrived now
