What Are Your Gym/Fitness/Routine Moans?

I think the above comment 'jack of all trades' is very apt. I could see someone getting fatigued and ending up in A&E pretty damn quick. At best, injury due to poor form is most likely
Yeah I think that's actually happened and resulted in a number of lawsuits. Most of the guys in the vids you can tell were bodybuilders/weightlifters previously and see crossfit as a convenient crossing point into more cardiovascular orientated training. The short distance/high intensity stuff anyway.Especially if you're a beginner it's an easy way to get f
ked up.goldblum said:

Interesting! To the outsider, they'd think "Look what Crossfit can do for you". I've been wearing a broken Breitling a lot last year and lost weight. Coincidence? I think not.
Guy at the gym today had all 3 squat racks set up for himself (for f
king deadlifts) at differing weights then also had a smaller straight bar set up for power cleans.
. Spent a full hour there in between sets writing s
t down blocking anyone else from doing anything. Trainers where in there but knew him so would not sort it out, had to do cardio until he f
ked off.

Careful. I moaned about similar a couple of weeks ago, and Hoofy used it as an excuse to take advantage of my vulnerable state to coerce me into buying a 'squat or gtfo' t shirt...

had a short fat bloke next to me this evening doing hyper-extended Olympic style clean and jerks, complete with dropping all of 40kg to the floor from about 6ft. I was on the bench a couple of feet away and in the end asked him to stop dropping from height.
he had a belt on and everything...40kg?!
he's improving all the time, the other week he'd moved all of the benches and was 'coaching' his missus in the same routine.he had a belt on and everything...40kg?!
he graduated to handstand press ups in the doorway as it was the only space available..
and today, throwing a medicine ball at the gym wall when it was absolutely jam up with people.
I know that all of these are acceptable exercises in other contexts, but it is not really that type of gym, it's too small for that stuff, he's an accident waiting to happen!

This reminds me, there was a girl in the weight room lastnight that was working out :0, I think she was doing squats in the corner and then decided to do dumbell shoulder press infront of me but was shocked to see her in there, definitely nice to see a girl in the weight room.Regiment said:

Squat racks being used for incline bench press this time, even when the f
king incline bench is empty. I f
king give up.
people's inability to improvise in a gym is funny, there's quite a serious lad at mine who is obviously rigidly following something he read in mens' health as he patiently stands next to you when he wants your machine, even if he could achieve the same result somewhere else in the same gym.

ts! leave your phone in your pissing glove box. there's i phones all over the floor in the free weights area, one day a 36kg dumb bell will roll and squash one.jaedba2604 said:

I can't decide if it's a lack of intelligence or just understanding why they're doing a particular exercise. Probably the latter. Kill them, anyway.jaedba2604 said:

I will not improvise at all, how do you accurately judge progression from week to week if you're constantly improvising? If I go in to do barbell benchpress, using dumbells or the chest press machine is not an option as its not an Olympic bar with weights. The only time I'll ever improvise is when ill be waiting more than 5 minutes and/or its a tertiary exercise like bicep curls. It's like saying "can't use squat rack, just use leg press" that's a ridiculous thing to say and shows how lazily someone is taking their workout in my opinion.
