Thinking about it, Sturgeon was able to impress in the debate last night simply BECAUSE she wasn't arguing for independence.
All she wanted was extra tax powers for Scotland.
As I've said - pointless referendum as even the SNP don't want independence!
Ahhh, I was waiting for the spin from you on that issue! Predictable... All she wanted was extra tax powers for Scotland.
As I've said - pointless referendum as even the SNP don't want independence!

But I thought that you never really watched it?!
What is "fairness"?
How is Farage racist?
Why are you incapable of defending your beliefs, is it because they are indefensible?

No chance. He will change tack to 'greater powers within the UK is what we wanted all along, suckers!'

I will preface this comment by saying unequivocally that I am NOT a UKIP supporter. I have never voted for them. I cannot forsee a circumstance when I would ever vote for them. I do not think that UKIP is anything more than a single issue party - that issue being to secure the exit of the UK from the EU. As such, whilst I am interested in the specifics of that debate, I find UKIPs focus to be too narrowly defined. Their lack of credible policies (imho) for how they would run key areas of Government were they to be elected makes them unelectable in my view. Ironically, this status of being a "single issue, lack of credible policies in key areas" party approach to the electorate is something that they appear to share with the NATs / SNP!
I watched the treatment meeted out to Mr Farage yesterday, and it reminded me of the worst excesses of the "socialist worker / anti Nazi brigade" protests we have seen in the past all over the UK. Time warp stuff for anyone who was a student in the 1970s and 1980s! Mindless chanting and thuggery.... Threatening behaviour... The idea that it's better to shout down than to listen and educate. T'was always the way of the hard of thinking!
However, I don't think that this reflects the attitude of Scottish people in general. Granted, UKIP might have a teeny level of support in Scotland, but there is a world of difference between not supporting UKIP and the sort of boorish idiocy we saw yesterday from the protestors.
What is interesting though is reading ViperPicts whole hearted endorsement of the manner of the protest. It tells you something about the man. Moreover, the fact that VP seems unable to differentiate between UKIP and the BNP serves to confirm that far from being the "academically gifted, complex systems theory expert, visionary" that he would like to portray himself as, he is in fact little more than a poorly informed, no answers, shouty meathead with an agenda which is becoming more clear at every turn.
The worrying question that flows from this is "what % of his fellow NATS are like him? "
This is so amusing I'm going to print it off and have it on my wall to look at when I'm in need of cheering up!

Why We Need To Put Our Trust In Alex Salmond.....
In February 2007, Mr Salmond said, "the Scottish banks are among the most stable financial institutions in the world." One year later, the British Treasury spent £38 billion bailing them out.
In August 2008, Salmond said, "I am certain that the RBS will overcome current challenges to become both highly profitable and highly successful once again." On 19 January 2009, RBS reported a £28 billion loss, the biggest in British corporate history.
Vote yes for Salmond rule.

Regardless of what people think of UKIP the treatment that we saw yesterday in our country a G7 country was inexcusable.
Also I'm frankly shocked at Alex Salmonds response pretty much congratulating mob behaviour. He has told the country porkie pies about factual evidence which he has from legal sources - yet when the courts demand he provides it PH... It never existed..... He stood in Hollyrood and stated time and time again his lawyers had provided a report confirming what he was saying was correct.
The man has lied to his nation ad didn't he spend £100k trying to hide that lie from the public in legal defence fees????
VP - I am appalled at what you have posted I the last few days you are not a gentleman in fact you are a moronic tosser. Quite how you believe complex systems theory can be used to forecast the outcome of an Independant Scotland is beyond me. Do you vigorously masterbate awaiting responses to your posts?
Tell you what when I go to the bank and demand a loan they say sorry no Id just say ah Keynsian theory that's how it will work so give me the loan spend spend spend and as per the economic theory ill earn more.

So, a quick straw poll - how many people do you know who will vote Yes? I knew 6 who are eligible, now there are none. VP need not reply as he obviously knows millions who will all be wafting around in Bentleys, lighting Cuban cigars with 50 Euro notes after the vote
Edit: correction, I do still know one person who will vote Yes - the ex-wife has said she'll do it just to piss me off
