Just sorting spec, any "must have" or "don't bother with" options?
I found that adaptive suspension was £500 well spent. Cruise control (part of driver comfort pack) works well with the auto box. I didn't upgrade the speakers which is my only regret. Didnt go for the nav or seated seats and don't miss them. Black panel display is a must and easily missed! Anyone else find the auto wipers are not sensitive enough (even on the must sensitive setting) or is it just me??

Thanks, seems the adaptive suspension is a good thing.Anyone else find the auto wipers are not sensitive enough (even on the must sensitive setting) or is it just me??
I don't really need nav, but would you really want a £30k plus car without nav?

^ No. When it comes to looking for my Estoril/Red dakota M135, the only option that is 'essential' (to me) is 'nav. I'll also be looking for comfort pack (for cruise) and adaptive suspension.
Anything else on top of those three is just gravy, as it's got plenty of toys as standard.

The new iDrive is quite a good system for everything as well as nav i.e. entertainment, vehicle info etc. Yes it is a bit gimmicky but its definitely one of the better nav/entertainment systems available. I don't really need nav, but would you really want a £30k plus car without nav?

Not now. It's so nice to get rid of the cables and it does increase the value of the car at resale time.
The nav does other stuff as well, it has a media player and Bluetooth phone.
Having said all that it is pricey!
Can you not have the screen without nav? I have Bluetooth/entertainment screen/car info etc but have never came across sat nav. I neither asked about it when I got it or care about it but would be interesting to know if it is there. I spec'd my car for me and not some future owner. I didnt need nav so didnt add it. (I didnt really need a new car either but the M135 is something of a performance car bargain that I couldn't resist, and I got a good deal) I don't really need nav, but would you really want a £30k plus car without nav?
Speccing things you're not going to use just to protect future value is a false economy as far as I can see.

A45 AMG pricing: £37,845 before options....

What's the boot size like on these. I think I need to have a look around one of these cars. All I hear is great.
Enjoyed monkeys review against the RS3.
It depends on your comparator. I think it's just about OK, it's better tham my previous 130, but in comparison with my previous Subaru WRX it's not great. If you go away as a family for a couple of weeks the boot will force you to compromise a little on what you take, but it's a compromise well worth having IMHO. Enjoyed monkeys review against the RS3.
