Catching up watching the semi finals on iPlayer. God there are some howlers! hehe Hopefully they get through. thumbup

Mostly dull power ballads by plastic birds in white dresses. Hope the rapping spacemen get through, that was quite nuts. Was intrigued by the bird (in a white dress rolleyes) being carried to the stage by that fking huge viking. Song didn't live up to the intro though. grumpy I didn't realise there was that much sun in Ireland. He looks like a fricking Oompah-loompah! yikes As for Serbias costumes WT juddering F!!!! rofl

Quite a few of the contestants seem to have won their countries 'The Voice' compo. Maybe this is punishment?

Oh dear, I quite liked Latvias dreadful effort! hehe Bat-st mental is strong in the Finland entry! eek

Yay! Malta has a uke! Working in IT thumbup Cute song. smile

Ooh Bulgaria is stuck in the 80s with that mullet! vomit Dreadful attempt too!

Got to get up horribly early so that's if for me. See y'all tomorrow wavey

Belarus made it through thumbup

Mrs Puggit is having a dry May - is it bad form to be drunk alone? There's no way I can watch this sober!

Does anybody else actually quite like our song? redface Possibly for the first time ever.

We'll still bomb though.
No. I quite like Humpty's last year but this is as bland a song as was ever penned and a definite nul pointer. Give me Boom-Bang-A-Bang any day of the week.
Just watched Bonnie repeatedly demonstrating her palms-forward-arms-open manoeuvre in the vid, and I'm sure, when she starts to sing tonight, there may well be a good chance the world record for the most kettles switched on simultaneously will be broken.

Are we now trying to lose or what? Or have we finally turned the tables on the annual 'we hate Grande-Bretagne' conference, and are now opting to blatantly take the piss out of the event like the rest have been doing for the past decade?

What a fuc*ing ridiculous waste of valuable time, electricity and oxygen the whole affair is. It's supposed to demonstrate friendship, harmony and goodwill between European countries through friendly competition.
What it succeeds in doing is showing just how openly biased, spiteful and divided most of Europe still is, and it's probably the best advert UKIP could have ever wished for.

(And no, I'm not a UKIP voter, but after tonight's voting, I'm sure there's a few who will be)

I was very disappointed the Montenegran dubstep spacemen didnt make it, but at least we have the Greek bazouki-ska for the bastst mental tonight. There are a lot of strong songs and of course there is no way on this planet ,or any other, that our Bonnie will win, but with all the former Soviet countries through , maybe that block vote will be dispersed this year(or maybe they will all vote for Russia under threat of invasion.)
And lots of scandinavian countries too,so that block may spread. No FYR countries(including bloody Montenegro!)so who can they vote for?Probably Romania frown
But 1 thing is for sure,no fker will vote for us!
I reckon Denmark, the current favourite, but I am strangely drawn to the Dutch getmecoat

Very accurate summary!

No former parts of Yugoslavia is incredible. That's going to confuse the fk out of their voters! Some votes for Greece from that lot - strengthens my dark horse tip. It also strengthens the Russian bloc vote by providing less competition.

Not long to go now. Anyone want to have a guess at how many points we will get?
I'll go for 37 points though, think that could be a tad overoptimistic. biggrin

To be honest, I look forward to this thread far more than the actual competition!
