10 days to Spa Classic and its playing up big time !
Discussion
Spoke to Jason today and it is all fixed already.
It was the brass coloured nuts either side of the butterfly spindles that had become loose.
They have refitted and used thread lock in doing so.
The were loose so when the throttle was applied only the left hand bank opened, hence such poor running and backfiring.
They collected the car from me and have fixed it all in 24hrs, including another small job I asked them to look at, so really good service from them.
I will go and get the car tomorrow so count down to Spa I hope.

OBD as in diagnostic socket? where abouts was it?
...I know - I was so relieved to get the car back that I forgot to ask Jason any specifics. Jason had already fitted a new engine loom about a week previously (see other threads on here re: poor running + 1 person finding a corroded/broken connector in loom), and about 5 days before we were due to cross the channel, exactly the same problem re-occurred.I was obviously made-up to be able to pick the car up from Lewknor - but it was a day before we were sailing from Portsmouth, and I still had to pack the car and polish it!! So, all Jason told me was that this OBD plug was there in anticipation of the factory being able to develop this feature - obviously this never happened.
Maybe OP could ask about my experience? Hopefully, Jason will remember, I saw him at S'stone last week-end too!

Collected today and all fixed. My issue was that of the loose bolts on the shaft of the throttle bodies. Only one set of three bodies was opening hence the very poor running.
All fixed by Straight Six and car ran home really good again.
Don't dare drive it now before departing to Spa next week.

Interesting. Wonder if they were aiming for obd2 compliance. Matt, next time I see Jason, I'll get him to point out exactly where this plug is and what he knows about the planned use. Annoyed really, because last Friday week I was in the pits garage with Jason, Gordy etc and I could have eyeballed the thing.I was obviously made-up to be able to pick the car up from Lewknor - but it was a day before we were sailing from Portsmouth, and I still had to pack the car and polish it!!
