Is it going to feel like I'm getting kicked in the spinal chord every time I go over a penny? (Have you seen Sheffield roads???)

The car is designed to run on 15 and 16" wheels ,you will never get a better ride unless it`s on a smooth track .

Changing to SP12's improved the ride on mine - suspect it was combination of lighter wheels and better/newer tyres

Although those are nice I always think that 17/18's just look too big ... they make it look like it's stood on tippy-toes and take away that old school classic British sports car look.

Imho, those wheels dont suit the car.

It's a difficult one. Standard wheels work, SP12s work but very few do.

A good wheel will flow with the car. It's amazing how many wheels look bad.

Pick carefully!

Agreed - no offence intended to those who have posted a pic in this thread, but I've yet to see an aftermarket wheel that suits the Chim IMO. Swapping from within the TVR family slightly better (spiders).

For reference, one of my SP12's in graphite. 18 and 17 inch, fully polybushed and rides and handles beautifully on new Nitrons now set up by Lloyds on their corner-balancing service smile

Not keen on black alloys myself, but they needed a refurb and were very cheap. I guess you can refurb them what ever colour you wish if the price is right!

What brake kit is that and do you have over 1" spare between the wheel and calliper

I've always thought the imola and Estoril wheels are heavy.

Whats the weight of these?

I don't, I think these are the best size/combo for a Chim - in my opinion they look perfect.

Definatly the wheels and size I'd opt for smile

I'd probably go 16/17's but personally I think the very low profile tyres don't suit the look of the car. But thankfully beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we all find different things attractive...

(...and thank God for that too or I'd never get laid... hehe )
