There is a lot you can do that doesn't affect the insurace like new gear knob and leather-ish gaitor (gaitor ford part number 1388462), jel badge overlays (DMB), boot lock cover (£10 ebay), window wind deflectors (£40 ebay), Armster arm rest (£89) all nice touches for little outlay biggrin

Well my current gear-lever gaiter thing has a couple of splits in it so I had thought about looking into a smart looking replacement for it.
Will check out the other bits you mentioned too smile cheers!

Been ages since I've added any pictures of the ZS, not done any upgrades but finally decided to post the pictures of my first track day! Was at the Curburough sprint circuit back in jan, organised on here.
Apologies for the crap picture quality, they were taken zoomed in on an iPhone ...

Didn't want to push the car with too many laps so didn't manage a record braking time ... But I had immense fun! Will punish the car a little more next time wink

One last picture for you all (me looking like a numpty in the passenger seat..);

One of my friends bought a red one of these recently, really nice little car. Another friend has a Fiesta ST of that shape and he really likes it - takes a lot of abuse going up and down forestry tracks / being driven hard etc and has given no problems at all. Seems to go pretty well too!

I do prefer the look of the Zetec S though, these alloys are lovely.

Modern Fords are very understated imo, the Fiesta, Focus and Mondeo all handle brilliantly, even base models, generally reliable and well made and relatively cheap! Looks like a smart car, love the colour!

Not posted on my thread for a while, so thought I ought to give my little fiesta a mention!

Good car's these, Sea Gray is such a lovely colour too. They Handle better then the ST due to the 16" Alloy's used apparently.

Why are almost all your pics at some silly angle?

Flat and straight is best.

Nice little car anyway.

Yeah I've never been a great photographer...

I do love the way it handles, can really throw it round corners and its great fun. Could do with a bit more poke than the 100-110ish bhp 1.6 gives me but its a decent compromise between fun little 'warm' hatch and work runabout smile

Brilliant little car. I loved mine, like you say fun handling and lots of lift off oversteer when you felt like it, gearbox was nice to operate too.
Had enough grunt for me most of the time, had it on the limiter in 5th now and then and was still pulling.

Cheers. What exhaust have you got on yours? Miltek? I like how it looks like a standard ST exhaust, nice and 'OEM'..

I noticed the lift-off oversteer a little when I took it round curburough, and yeah the gearbox is great to use. I love mine smile

Yes it's a milteck cat back, sounds nice (better with induction kit) when you put your foot down and not too chavy wink
