I LOVE THIS, i also didn't know that they can have 7 seats:
104000 miles tax and test

The Micra is currently a bit dead, i'm tempted to tell my mechanic to keep it...
yes 7 seats was available. they are big cars and a petrol i guess wouldn't suit the car unless you take it softly.

my 2.2 diesel one has been good and now for sale above this thread price i hope smile looking to swap for an volvo xc
7 seats but stupidily rear facing, whereas 307 sw has proper forward facing (and 307 sw 7seat has rather cool panoramic roof)
I always enjoyed rear facing seats smile I have very fond memory's of getting my child minder pulled over for mooning at police car when i was wee smile

Cracker of a runabout for pocket money.
How about a red one with less miles for £460....

That Golf is quite tempting, actually. What do you need to look out for on these? (If I were to run it for 20k miles a year)
The gearbox isn't the strongest. The sychromesh tends to go on second gear and mine ate its reverse cog.

Just realised I wrote surfaces when I meant to say subframes! Probably worth having a look under yours if you can.
The car does have an advisory on last MOT for under-car rot, I'll look at it tommorow when its up on the ramps. Worst comes to worst I can always refurbish the subframe,

I actually love this car and think its worth it.

God knows why I am again looking at big mpv's. Have a strange fascination with Grand Espaces, but they aren't for this thread.

Anyway, this has been loved. £999 1 owner and a tad more reliable than French tat.

I need help don't I hehe

I want it just because its nicely presented on a monoblock drive infront of an open garage. Such things draw me in on any shed priced car.
Which is exactly why I always photograph any cars I am selling on the inlaws'. drive. wink

Needs bonnet grill... Nice interior and the 500 as well. The garage has a few other old mercs on sale as "trade sales".

Strange that this is an L plate, didn't know they were still made for so long. Reason for the attraction- my parents had an F plate 1.3 for a long time- I remember being picked up from school and being embarrassed by the rusty arches. This one only has 57k and is the robust diesel. I like it in an agricultural way.

Last post - my second favourite category of car (after big old shoddy mercs): the small, low mileage, French automatic. Drive one of these today and you will wonder where we went wrong with big wheels and sports suspension (just don't crash). Tax included - how can you go wrong for £595

Peugeot 205 1.6 XL 3DR AUTO 1993 - http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2013...

3 Doors, Automatic, Hatchback, Petrol, 48,000 miles, Metallic blue. MOT 09/02/2014, 6 months tax included, PAS, FSH, Good condition for year, Rare Auto model with very low miles. A Future classis. 3 door hatchback, blue, petrol, Auto. Months warranty included

Make sure the rear suspension bushes are ok. Always go, not a huge job but fairly pricey to get done. Makes the rear move around when driving over bumps. Quite disconcerting!

Just picked up a 1999 Nissan Primera GT LE, with 49k on the clock, every MOT to back it, 6 months tax and test, immaculate leather interior, everything working and with exceptional handling for the princely sum of.....£725!

The only problems I can find is that rust has started to appear on the arches, early enough though that its nothing that a flat back and repaint wont sort.
Let us know how you get on with it. A GT is on my list.

Utterly bargainous!

I've turned into one of those annoying people who can't stop telling others about the fantastic value the cars represent. A ZT fanboy, if you will rolleyeslaugh

Production in the UK ended Dec 94, then they were built in Bulgaria for a couple of years. 621 were bought into the UK in 96 & 97, some of them hung around long enough to end up as late as a 51 plate. Also made in China up until 2005.

Will do, meant to get some photos today and start a readers rides thread but it was raining,

Seems to be going well, never had a car that felt so tight.
