To the OP. Don't feel guilty about anything. It is always the chaps who feel guilty, the girls never do when they leave us!
Rubbish

I feel guilty everytime I have fun with friends incase he is alone and feeling miserable. I hated asking him to leave but I had to, makes me feel aweful but he didn't feel awful when he was sleeping with the 3 girls behind my back, or when he couldn't be bothered to get a job and he didn't feel guilty everytime I bought him fags because he couldn't be bothered to get a job to buy his own.

Yes I was a mug, yes I have learnt my lesson! Luckily it hasnt tainted me and I dont hold his mistakes against others and I wont expect others to treat me the same in my future

You rang the police ? Because you had an argument with your mrs? Jesus Christ.
I knew someone would pounce on that.

It's a bit more complicated than that, but I'm not going to share my personal business on a public forum.
Get spare key or remove front door/window with force would be my method.

No ex is going to have my possessions i worked for.

When/why did people stop behaving decently?

It's not that hard to separate from an ex if you've no kids.

You take the things YOU bought, you leave the things that belong to HER alone, undamaged.
Anything you bought jointly you agree share out between you - to get a roughly even division of value.

And you are liable for your tenancy ('jointly and severally liable' I think might be the phrase) until you give notice - so contact your landlord, give notice in writing (tell the ex, it's only fair) and pay what you owe in rent, utilities etc.

Then move on, guilt free, to your next victim. biggrin

Been here too! seems like lots have! lived with her for 3 yrs, whilst at work (offshore) I called home and she said she wasn't happy bla bla bla, I was a bit shocked (worst 8 days of my life till I got home) she went to her friends, we ended living together for 3 weeks while she found a place, horrible!! split up the stuff most of which was mine really, id bought a car for us but really hers mostly lucky for me she wasn't to bad, we agreed she could pay some each mnth then after 2 yrs she paid me a lump sum after selling it. I honestly wish id just took the car my stuff and left!

she's just spent 6mnths being miserable in Oz but day she landed in uk her bf of 8 mnths proposed, meanwhile I found an awesome girl who can support herself and is hotter and a lot better in the sack!

believe me life gets better get out and get on with it!

take a day off work.

book van, fill with HER stuff and take it round her dads.

phone her and tell her the good news.
This is exactly what I did. Looking back I wish I'd been less of a prat but I might have regretted it more if we'd dragged on another 2 years.

Don't forget to change the locks. Actually might be awkward in rented house
