Does he also wear skinny jeans? K-Swiss? Neon laces? Does he wear horizontally slatted glasses?
Is he zomgrandom? Does he listen to dubstep?
I recognize some of these words. I speak only English (and a smattering of French) though, so I don't understand what this post means.
Wikipedia said:
Slim-fit pants or skinny jeans (when made of denim) have a snug fit through the legs and end in a small leg opening that can be anywhere from 9" to 20" depending on size.[1] Other names for this style include drainpipes, stovepipes, tight pants, cigarette pants, pencil pants, skinny pants or skinnies.
Wikipedia said:
K-Swiss, Inc. is an American footwear company based in Westlake Village, California.[1] The company designs, develops, and markets a range of athletic shoes under the K-Swiss brand.
(N.B. there is nothing athletic about K-Swiss)

neon (not comparable)
(of a color) Extremely bright; fluorescent.

zOMG is a varient of the all-too-popular acronym "OMG", meaning "Oh My God". The "z" was originally a mistake while attempting to hit the shift key...

Wikipedia said:
Dubstep (/ˈdʌbstɛp/) is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South London, England. It emerged in the late 1990s as a development within a lineage of related styles such as 2-step garage, broken beat, drum and bass jungle, dub, and reggae.
(N.B. in this context "dubstep" is used in the derogatory sense to describe the atonal noise from the likes of the eunuchoid stylistically challenged "Skrillex", more commonly known as "brostep")

The hyphen is optional, as are all hyphens. Do you want to to explain what the words "slatted" and "glasses" mean?

Do you mind if I take a drink while doing this?

I am not sure the French Academy would agree with you regarding the hyphen.

Thank you for the offer, but slatted glasses were around when I was alive. Circa 1980 - before you were born, perhaps?? smile

Drinking while typing puts the keyboard in danger. This is particularly so if touch-typing with both hands.
The potential for disaster is greater when using a lap-top.

As you mature, risk assessments made tend to be more robust.

But, seriously, thank you for your work on this. I am sure it has been helpful to a lot of your readers!

The French Academy are full of s**t, as is anyone who tries to dictate every little intricacy of language. I'm all for correct punctuation and grammar but as I'm sure you will know, being a wise old type, many years ago there were those who objected to contractions such as can't, don't and fo'sho, very sad people. The sort of people who would hyphenate laptop and think they were being clever.

Furthermore, slatted glasses have been around longer than that. Circa 1950 - before you were born, perhaps?? smile
The same goes for OMG and K-Swiss (hyphenated because it's a brand name and as such it's punctuation is fixed, similar to "iPod") and probably a few of the other things you needed explained to you.
As you mature, you learn that firstly, age is not the same as wisdom and secondly, you're never as smart as you think you are. Probably some other things to.

I am always happy to help smile

Oof. I didn't know such a thing existed, but

Obviously too cool to use capital letters, or pay less than 30 quid for a sodding t-shirt. Perhaps someone could explain this to me?

THIS!
Yesterday some dosey cow was blocking a whole isle, left her trolley on one side while doing that leaning back thing people do. Then there's the agonising over things. Last week I saw a woman fondling all the Ginsters, not just one of each, all of them, as if she was trying to find a ripe one. I don't know what that was about. Fortunately they were just putting out some new ones. I wouldn't want to touch one fondled by that freak, she probably plays with her faeces or something.

You saw what I did there! Very good!

But I am not sure that fo'sho has ever been acceptable. Anywhere or any time.

Yeah you plus one, but he probably thinks a 'Portfolio' Jag is pretentious.
freaks me out when people go digging... i know it's something i put out there but still! It's just a spec level... it had the options i was after as standard fit!
It is hardly digging is it. Ready to judge other people's choices but.. Silly buggers.
what are you getting at exactly? That the spec level of my car means I can't agree that there is a difference between fashion and style? I don't see the link at all, and Jags are hardly fashion cars anyway - have you ever been to a Jag dealership and witnessed the clientele?

Mr Ford Focus attempting to block my overtake on an Nsl road.
You never try to block someone's overtake by accelerating,it's incredibly dangerous and stupid.
Luckily for me I had far more power under my right foot than you could muster up,waving your hand in protest didnt help your cause either.
Proper knob.

The knob in the white 1 series BMW BK62 WCS in Malvern today.
He thought it only fair that he got into the left hand filter lane to overtake a line of cars in the right hand lane and then cut in front of me at the last minute !
Then thought it would be a good idea to give me hand signals because I gave him a sharp blow on the horn.
Utter KNOB and looked like one in his "young farmers" cap

Trio of knobs today, 1 in a Galaxy and 2 in a Vectra, decided to stop in the road and have a conversation. Passenger in the Vectra actually got out of the car and stood in the middle of the road, casually chatting away, completely oblivious to the tailbacks they were causing.
Vectra knob had the cheek to call me every name under the sun as he drove past, because I dared to rev/horn after a while. Tip: Don't threaten people if you have the voice of an 8 year old kid laugh
