had a team building day at work yesterday at an outdoor go cart track. I finished 7th out of 9! grumpy

We had 15 minutes of qualifying then a 30 minute race. In the briefing we were told that the person that operated the lights would be watching for people talking or not paying attention, that's when he would change the lights to Green. So, as soon as we pulled up to our grid position he was true to his word and as soon as he saw people yapping the lights went Green.

I went through the pack and into 1st position and lasted Two corners before my cart spluttered to a halt. I lost two laps (which were given back) before I could get back into the pits and into another cart with cold tyres and handled differently bla bla.

Went for a nice ride around Dorset, Poole to Swanage and across the ferry. Filmed it, but for some reason I can't get it off the camera.

Had a great ride down towards Uckfield in East Sussex this afternoon and found some decent roads I haven't ridden before. On the way back I popped into a local dealer just to have a browse and ended up taking a 2009 ZZR1400 for a test ride - what a machine!! nuts
The engine is just so smooth, pulls like a train and handles very well for a big old girl, even at low speeds you hardly notice the weight. Seriously contemplating getting one of these for touring duties and to keep the GSXR company smile

Great ride into work today where everything just fell into place. Left 15 minutes early so i could take the scenic route, no cars on the road and the weather was holding a perfect temperature so i wasnt getting too cold.

Down the lanes were fast sweeping bends, so i just kept the bike in top (4th), throttle off for the corners and thud my way out of them. The whole ride just felt lovely and smooth and although slow, it was exactly what I needed and really theraputic. Best ride ive had this year smile

I am definitely getting old before my time though. I am 24 years old, just got my Ducati back on the road and all this week I have been going straight for the Enfield paperbag

Had a great B road blast up to Scarborough this morning & met up with PheonixUK (Rich) on his Touno V4R on the way back. He's worked out how to switch the wheely control off that's for sure.

Scotch meet was cancelled. Bumbled through countryside which was slippy as hell.

Broke down in a rough as hell part of town and had to wait for the girlfriend to arrive with jump leads.

I suspect some form of murder suicide pact in my charging system with my regulator and battery.

Thank you young Liam, I'm just trying to sort the carbs out, they're running too rich.

I can give you a smile from a couple of weeks ago, I'd been out, and I had the bike parked by the river severn in Worcester.

I was having a smoke and a drink of cola, when along came some kids on their mopeds, scootery things, they did a double take, went around the one way system, and came and parked by me.

They were very respectful, lovely kids, and started asking me about the bike, bear in mind this bike is double their, and your, age.

They asked me all about it, a couple of them had heard of Moto Guzzi but hadn't seen one etc.

They were very complimentary, and said they'd never seen a moped like it, and they thought it sounded fantastic (I'd started it for them). laughlaughlaugh

I explained V50 meant it was a 500cc lol

I've done the same!
On my way to college I saw a lovely looking Vincent Black Shadow and had to have a chat with the owner I pulled up next to him at the lights and he said he'd happily pull over for a chat.

He was an elderly chap, and he had owned the bike for (If I remember) 20 odd years. Apparently I made his day by taking interest in it as I was so young.
See him quite regularly now, love the sound of it.

Good for you, I actually find it quite nice when youngsters take an interest in bikes from the past.
