Why the negative talk for a car that is priced to sell?
Has someone actually seen the car before making such comments?

IMO its the correct price to achieve a sale, loads of 165k+ 458's are sat at dealers & not selling...
It also shows how low trade bids must be as I'm sure this car has been underwritten by an F dealer...

The idea of car dealers is to make as much money as possible on a sale, why would you price a car around £20k cheaper than average. I would think main dealers will give more than the asking price to buy in for stock.
Would they though? Lots of coupe owners now getting their spiders delivered..
Many cars coming on the market..IMO they have been too high for a while..

Exactly.. And cars are not selling at those prices .. So if you are a dealer I think you are bidding way below 150k for trade in.. So if your spider is around the corner, can't really hang about, either you list it SOR at competitive price or you hit the bid of te dealer waaaaay below retail at the moment. lovely
And the car you link to is the cheapest on there too...........lovely

I am slightly dubious about these rumours of massive depreciation on the way.
I have kept an eye on 458 prices for about 6 months now, and they haven't shown any inclination to fall off a cliff yet. And the number for sale in the classifieds has stayed around 55-60 with a reasonable turnover.

I really hope that prices will fall shortly . Logically with the number of spiders available so early we must have reason to be optimistic. Keep hoping that my favourite Highly Rated Official dealer calls me soon. Pricing new California will be interesting with used 458 spiders around. Sub 200 after the summer ?

I waited 6 months for prices to drop and aline with MP4321/678C, but it never happened, so just bought the spec I wanted and bI have kept an eye on 458 prices for about 6 months now, and they haven't shown any inclination to fall off a cliff yet.
