Goodbye Scuderia, Hello 458 Spider
Discussion
Love it! Red really does suit it & i really hope you enjoy it. Especially that noise!
But, if i were in you're situation, i'd find a way of keeping both. 458 as a sort of daily (mainly weekends & nice sunny days) and the Scuderia for really special days!
But then, if i had both. I'd take them to Wilton House for the supercar show every year!

Too right you won't. Coz if you want a well specced 458 spider you'll be short about a hundred large
I don't so I'm actually long £100k in cash

.Next door neighbour is putting his 700 mile 2013 458 Spider on SOR at the end of this week so could get one with known history at better than dealer price.

Thanks for the comments.
The Scud vs 458 appears quite divisive. Money difference aside they are two different propositions in my eyes. The Scud was a selective car, (a real joy to drive and own) and indeed a machine that had already broken the back of the depreciation curve and a future CS in terms of its rarity and demand. The 458 for me was clearly the next gen model, digital (almost too much so), razor sharp but lacking the essence of the stripped out, carbon fibre clad Scud. This it was never meant to be however.
I never did master the 458 indicators (when I had the coupe), for example when peeling of a roundabout at shall we say "speed" and wanting to snatch the left indicator, I could never get it activated before the requirement had passed. Hopefully I can get to grips with it on the Spider.
PS, Mosi, The scud has sold already I'm afraid.
PPS - My old Coupe with the Grey sills.

Driven the 458, just a bit too clever for its own good in my opinion. The one thing I can’t get around is its looks, just too disjointed for me. The worst part is the ride height, how can a BMW coupe get its wheel to wheel arch ratio so right and the 458 get it do wrong, they look like mini off roaders
