I dont get whats with the huge holes in the doors? Apart from that its as pretty as a modern interpretation can be given the current design language of unresolved creases and sharp edges.

All we need is for Ferrari to make one - may I suggest they actually make the 612 GTO:

Well, i like it! But really it's just a mear distraction from the job in hand, which is to try to make the next V8 Vantage a proper world beater so that Aston can attempt to survive another 100 years!!

(BTW, likeing the CNC clay mill ;-)

Beautifully Aggressive

At long last a new (and successful) design language I was hoping for. From the new front grille to the rear, the detailed alloy wheels to the front wheel arch design are all muscular and yet beautiful. Just like how Ferrari used to make them! I hope that Aston Martin adopt these design cues and don’t forget to offer Manual, or failing this DSG options on its most sporting models.

This particular car is obviously one for the investor, but to make it worthwhile it sure has to have the breathed on V12 to distinguish it from the Vantage, no?

In any event, this seems to me to be the fruits of Investindustrial money. Wherever the funds are coming from, its money well spent.

Would prefer it with a windscreen but it's a lovely looking thing, what's going on with those bikini doors? hehe
The bikini doors are copied from the Lotus 340R

No windscreen = No sales.

As has been discovered by Renault, KTM and many others.

Don't like the Aston, nor the SLR. Gave it a 4, probably far too generous.

The originals were built for a purpose, sometimes on a shoe-string, with absolute commitment; these are playthings, baubles, pointless.

Good looking car but I'll take it without that stupid wing door. Minidoor will do just fine and look much better

I think you'll find that those originals are too just plaything, build for playboys without purpose and pointless.

"Yet more"? Like what, exactly?

Do you mean the 300 SLR that won the 1955 Mille Miglia, or the AM DBR1 that won the 1959 Le Mans.

And yet Mercedes sold 75 of the SLR Stirling Moss models for a million bucks a pop.

I love the interior. Those leather straps are tactile and stylish! Do it on production Astons!

It would be good to have a windscreen which motorises up into view when required. It could simply be a short perspex panel with a subtle curve to it. When not in use it would lay flat, hidden flush into the bonnet. That way you have the drop dead looks for slow speed cruising, or more practicality for motorway runs. No need for a roof though.
