Part of it is the utterly ridiculous desire for more and more megapixels, I cringed when I read about the S4s 13MP camera.
I am very tempted by the HTC One and they clearly have the right idea with their camera.
If you're willing to consider WP8, then the Nokia 920 is even better than the One camera, especially its now had the Portico upgrade. The low light performance on the Lumia is possibly better and the outdoor stuff is better again as the Ones lack of MP count against it.I am very tempted by the HTC One and they clearly have the right idea with their camera.
Again, I find the N4 camera acceptable for a phone, but I dont rate any camera on a phone compared to even a fairly old compact, but the Lumia 920 comes closest for me, but there are a lack of features compared with the Android stuff.
I was thinking about WP8 but I do quite like Android.
I rang T-Mobile today to cancel my Sim so I could move to Giff Gaff and I ended up ordering an HTC ONE
They offered me the phone for £70 plus 1000 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited 3G data for £23.50 a month, interestingly he said they could do the same deal on an iphone 5 but would charge me less for the phone.
There's a decent comparison of the One and the Sony here:

I think I prefer the results form the One tbh, the Lumia is definitely very impressive though.

I'd be worried whether anything testing against the screen like credit cards could scratch it.
I keep numbers facing towards the case, had no issue with the back of the card being towards the phone screen - other than when one of the OCD guys at work turned them all the other way. It's got emergency information on it.

I have no idea if this will help but I've just switched to using this to hold my phone in the car:

Got one, works well with a Sony CD headunit and doesn't interfere if there's a CD playing http://www.cdslotmount.com/

Sadly it doesn't fit in a Megane CD slot
Open to suggestions...Quick question...
Is it possible to rotate the screen 180deg (e.g. upside down) - the phone fits well in the cupholder, problem is the charge point is on the bottom rather than the top of the phone.
I think this could be done with custom ROMs, but would prefer to stick with the stock ROM if possible.
ETA Didn't take long - Adaptive Rotation Lock FTW

Just overclocked mine to 1944Mhz and the GPU is clocked too. Easy to do and so far seems stable. feels snappier and the occaisional glitch when playing Riptide GP has now gone.
see how the battery goes!

Did it left you feeling "wanting", or is it more of a "just because I can" thing?

Bragging rights, now applying pear pressure to another chap in the office to do his

Serious post now, anyone here have the official bumper?
I do, and quite frankly, its rubbish. I mean, it looks nice enough, I can't deny that, but it constantly slips off the bottom left corner while it's in my (jeans) pocket - admittedly, it's a slightly tight fit, but nothing crazy. This is infuriating, and unforgivable because it doesn't even really offer much protection either; I knew this when I bought it, and was willing to put up with it, but the fact it can't even stay on the phone properly is a deal breaker.
The really weird thing is, when you examine it in your hand, when its on properly, it appears to fit fine, it just doesn't stay on the phone once its been in my pocket for a couple of minutes of moving around / sitting down etc.
I've gone back to using a £2 TPU case I got locally which still looks OK, but offers far more protection and actually stays on the phone.
Still, I should be able to flog it for a tenner. What a waste of money.
