Porsche Cayman

Audi A5 V8 Quattro

Lexus IS F

Maserati Quattroporte

Or Cambiocorsa

TVR T350C with Sagaris engine

Aston Martin DB7 V12

Lotus Europa S

Jaguar XFR

Of course the 911 will be done to death, loads of examples available and as Paul said, a Noble isn't a bad shout.

I like the ifs a lot. Interior is a bit of a let down. The b8 is currently my favourite. Very tunable and should've easy to live with. Finding one that isn't cat d or bad spec is hard work though.

If you want/need 4 seats, I would go for a Jaguar XFR all day long.
The Europa is a lovely looking car but a little underpowered, I'd rather have the V8 A5 over a V6 A4 . . . . . but I wouldn't have an Audi at all!!!!

Pete, Didn't think you could get an XFR for £20K, but it appears you can.

Have some experience of highly tuned S4s and RS4s. Would never buy one, as a driver’s car. But they are very fast, if that's what your after.

That Maser Spyder is gorgeous. Looked at those, when I bought my MR. They are certainly holding their value. Check the gearbox software has been updated to 2004 spec.

Or what about an M6. (Just don't look at the boot.)

Have wanted an IS-F ever since i first saw one before i even had a licence.
I love the idea of a fast Japanese luxury saloon!

The Lotus Europa is a good idea if you can do without 4 seats.

If i was in your position id be very careful, get something too sedate and you will be swapping again in 6 months time.

Wont an A4 or S8 be as dull as ditch water after something that pops, bangs and goes as well as the VXR8 did?

I don't think there is anything I haven't considered. Gone from hatch backs to limos to soft tops to track cars. I don't have a clue what to do. I have never put so much thought into what to get so I know what I get next will e good and I expect divide opinion. The xfr is an amazing buy but I do feel its not in my age bracket. As for the zo6, exige and tvr.... I really couldn't life with it day to day. I want something I can use every day. A friend of mine had an s5 and I like to be different so that's out. I am very surprised nobody has said the default 20k practical performance car. The focus rs smile

Well. Usually I have everything all planned out but it's all in the air at the minute. Car is supposedly leaving my possession on Thursday if the money comes through. So I can't make the meet as I won't have a car. Replacement is 2-3 weeks off. Due to this I can't sort a thing on the day so l just stopped pushing this. Switching to the other meet would be wise I guess. At least the host will be there frown

What does everyone else want to do ?

Swap to the daytime lunch meet at Cheddar or carry on with this ?

Daytime may work better for me anyway.

Lee - any thoughts on the new wheels or are you waiting to suprise us ?

It will be a surprise yes smile even to me as i dont know for certain yet myself but have a very good deal on something lined up. Don't know if it will be considered very pistonheads but will do 40mpg and is faster than the vxr8. Before anyone pipes up. No it's not a diesel hehe
