laugh What? How do you propose you create complex geometry on fixtures or one off parts then?
George...... There was life before CNCyes

I'm only playing devils advocate..... Due to your flippant comment, about getting a crank made....Can't be that hard, just need a grinder etc etc comments...
Back in the real world, its extremely difficult to get a 1 off crank made up just like that.... Yes we all know that there are companies that do such stuff, but it takes months, and costs thousands...

It took me 3 months to get a robotic welding fixture made...... Why? You may ask..... Because there were only 2 companies in the UK that could do what I wanted, and that was their lead time.... Simplessmile

Well what I said about the crank is true, it's hardly complex geometry is it? Not like some things I've seen made in only a matter of weeks either. Might take a while to design it and make sure it works right, but having it made should be a piece of piss...

Ok George. .... You're right.... It's a piece of piss to get a bespoke crank made up....

In fact it's dead easy to get any one offs made up....... And cheap too

I don't know what I was thinking....

Now, I'm thinking of fitting a tow ball to the back of the vantage, so I can take the trailer to the local recycle centre in style...
It'll also need to be capable of towing a horse box, and a twin axle caravanscratchchin

Of course a V8V might lack the power for towing tongue out

Bringing it back on topic: Someone on the 6speed forum is having a 2013 V8V built to order and included "Metal Seat Adjuster Buttons" as one of his build options.

I wonder if we can order just the buttons from AM now. Can any of you with access to the factory find out for us?

Sorry about the resurrection of an old thread but was it ever concluded whether this was possible or not?

No - the wiring loom, connecter and mode of operation are different.
IIRC someone then went off to look at replacing the plastic buttons with metal ones.

Can the buttons be replaced? It is the jury still out?
