I don't understand... There's loads of these fairings kicking around.

(£75!)

ETA: Yes, I realise I googled the wrong side, but it is the same story for the other!

You can get them for under a £100 and then get it painted for about what, £50? Then whack some stickers on for another £50.

Seems a shame to do such a poor bodge on what looks a nice bike when it would only cost you £200 or so to do properly.
Yep that green one will definetley match! Left sides are ten a penny.

Fairing for £75 Notes. £100 to respray silver £60 for the decals.

£235 seems expensive for a panel. IMO.

Its a commuter now. Its not immaculate. More about damage limitation. I have already replaced half of it since I came off.

Subframe - Tail Unit - Exhaust - LH Fairing - Underseat unit - Screen - Levers - Gear Mech etc.

confused
Are you deliberately making it more expensive than it needs to be to look 100times better than it is right now?

Shop around. I've never paid £100 for a panel in silver in my life and I've had a fair few done, I'd pay half that amount for a cheap job, and if you're near Edinburgh I'll tell you a few garages that will do it.

It's up to you of course mate, but just to point out you'll also get a lot of that money back on the resale, you're not just losing £200, because later on you're going to have to knock off a considerable amount like to a potential buyer. Not to mention it being a ball-ache to get them to come out and have a look at it in the first place.

If I wanted a cheap job I will do it myself. I don't know where anyone finds a cheap sprayer.

eg. Sudden Impact want £150 to do it.

Unless you've got a compressor and spray gun to hand they'll do a better job than you or I could even for a cheap price. You're talking what, £15 alone in rattle cans?

To find a sprayer, firstly rule out anywhere with a name like "Sudden impact"... The last one I used was at the end of my road. It's a small business that does haulage and minor lorry repair, ergo he paints, so I brought him a bumper, asked him a price for cash to paint it and was told £50 assuming he could use the silver paint he had lying around. Which presumably you'd be happy with.

It's totally up to you mate! I don't care, I just thought it was worth your time is all.
