h that told us that the Brawn was essentially a Dallara, not a Honda F1 design.

I always thought the problem with Honda when Jensen was there was the aero package and no grip...
This was radically cured of course in the year when Honda gave up and handed the car to Brawn, after which he promptly won the championship.
The Brawn was essentially a Honda. Honda execs must have had a massive facepalm moment during that season..

Not Dallara; Super Aguri.
h that told us that the Brawn was essentially a Dallara, not a Honda F1 design. It was a Leafield design (and allegedly manufactured there) but built in Brackley .
It would be a fascinating documentary if you could get all the key players to sit down and tell the truth in front of the camera.
The bit that I have wondered is how early did Mercedes decide to buy the team? They obviously offered the engines, but how early did Brawn and Fry know that the future was secure for the workforce?

During FP1 is was said that this Mclaren-Honda partnership hasn't had the warm reception in Japan that was anticipated by the (UK) media.
I think the commentators fp2 said they had a huge enthusiastic turn out in Japan for the announcement.Edited by stephen300o on Friday 24th May 16:52

Unless Mercedes are capable of challenging for titles in those years (and that is the entire point of the move) I can see him replacing Fernando at Ferrari, LDM loves him and I just cannot see LH forgetting 2012 in a hurry.
JB's contract is up at the end of this year and Sergio is on a 12 month contract and it isn't cast in stone that either of them could be in the car next year although the smart money would see JB on a two year extension by the summer.

Agree with this. I'm convinced Hamilton will end up at Ferrari in a couple of years and then he will retire.JB's contract is up at the end of this year and Sergio is on a 12 month contract and it isn't cast in stone that either of them could be in the car next year although the smart money would see JB on a two year extension by the summer.

Hamilton and Ferrari are made for each other. He'll get his dog in the back of an FF and Ferrari will design an entire Ferrari clothing line around him. This is how Ferrari rolls these days.
Will Vittel beat LH to Ferrari along with Hulkenberg? The Japanese press are very cautious and still love Le Mans more than F1. McLaren colours and title sponsorship still up for grabs even though stories swill around involving GSK (Lucozade etc) as the principle backers. Not sure that the bloggers have any idea, nor do the sponsorship agencies.
