This year will be our first at the Le Mans 24hours, (unfortunately) we'll be going in a very un-PH diesel Corsa. Put the first of many stickers on it this afternoon;

I have to warn you: it might be addictive to go to le mans!
I haven't been able to stay away for 7 years now;-)

Not quite the right orange and blue, but close enough smile

Viper stripes - not easy.

In what way? I've bought some chequered ones that will be going on at the end of the month, would hate to mess them up.

A little late I know, but has anyone got any suggestions for a silver 5 Series touring?

Parsnip....you forgot the bottom of the front bumper (under the no. plate)! I dread to think how difficult that was to apply? smile

The front lip and a wee bit more at the back still needs doing, but after 3 1/2 hours we (3 of us) had enough.

RE: the stripes - they are a nightmare to fit - getting them straight and crease free is an art. Biggest problem was getting them to contour round the ridges in the bonnet. Plenty of water (with a bit of fairy liquid) sprayed on the car and vinyl with 3 of us applying them worked pretty well.

Really counting the days now.

i've fitted lots of stripes over the years, its best to work with a decent brand vinyl that will conform to the compound curves a bit easier, if possible

use a fine sprayed water/washing up solution onto the car and also on the adhesive on the vinyl (no need to drench it)

then use a hair dryer, or heat gun on a low setting to warm the vinyl up when you get to the curved area

Parsnip/Viper...thanks - I'm just about to place an order and the reference to 'feeling the quality' so to speak is clearly a timely one as I don't want to bodge a friends 911 as he has bravely let me livery his car for our 1st time at LM.....oops, he might read this yikes
