I just Alt-Tab out as part of the same movement when I start a battle. The WoT icon on the task bar flashes red when there's about 5 seconds to go.
Did you save that Jadgtiger game? I'd love to see that one.
I had a weird game in my IS-8 yesterday on the Widepark map. It's a real fail team magnet normally and I only win one in three games with it. I have the top gun now, but the tracks, engine and turret are stock.
Anyway, I managed to kill a tier 10 French tank (AMX50B) and damage a couple of others, but got badly shot up by some big American tank in the process. I was down to just 8 hit points. Not 8% - 8 hit points.
After a bit more attrition there was just me, one arty and a beaten up Bat Chat on my side and an E-100 and one arty on the other. The E-100 had been busy massacring our team and obviously had the scent of blood up his nostrils. He went off after our arty and managed to kill it and the Bat Chat on the process.
Meanwhile I had decided to sneak round the back and look for the enemy arty. I couldn't find him, so I started capping. The arty snuck round a corner and started drawing a bead on me. I shot him, but didn't kill him. Stupidly he withdrew rather than firing. I relocated slightly and nailed him when he tried it again. It's a good job E100s are slow as hell or I'd have been dead meat.
I went on to cap for an unlikely win. It was tough on the E-100 as he ended on 8 kills.

wish I hadn't got in.
6 games, 1 win. steamrolled 5 times, teamed with some of the most jaw droppingly incompetent tankists I have ever met. Coming off the back of a really good week, seems the game has decided my win rate has been getting too high lol.
At a guess the calculation of the number of hours is no. of games x 30 seconds each?

How are you calculating this?
As you have to wait for the game timer of 30 secs at the start of each battle, just divide your total number of battles by 2 to see how many minutes you have been sat just watching the clock ticking down. 60 hours waiting...

I've found myself on both ends of these
What main gun would you guys recomend for the Hetzer? The 'better' 7.5cm or the 105 Howitzer with HE?
I always roll with the 105mm Howitzer on the Hetzer. It has a surprisingly fast reload and even though it has poor accuracy I have found that its accuracy is actually better than its stats would suggest. I consistently hit targets on the El Haluf ridgeline from the opposite ridgeline for example.

It is also hilarious to one shot lower tier targets. I don't even bother firing Premium rounds for the most part and find regular HE adequate for most situations.
My favourite is putting HE through the PzIV, if you get it right you can actually one-shot other PzIVs - the right part of their sides or even occasionally the front of their turret, if you keep it off the mantlet, and the shell goes straight through.
This does not usually impress them
Always satisfying to be told "nice gold" or something like that when, actually, you've used no such thing!

That's what I use too. The Hetzer can be played quite aggressively when it's among tier 4 or lower tanks. No need to hide, just go round the side and derp anyone who gets in the way. I had a stand off with one tank who was using a building as cover. He kept moving to keep it between us. So I drove right through the building and derped him. I don't think he was expecting that.

Good call on the 105 for the Hetzer
Had a couple of really good games with it. Put camo, and cam nets on it, would Binoculars be a good call as well?
Ive found tucking it down the side, behind a couple of other tanks works really well, you can pretty much stop an entire advance with a half dozen well placed shots. Of course, when the rest of your team gets massacred, it doesnt end well
Binocs are always a good idea if you've got a spare equipment slot and a poor view range like the Hetzer, although pricey they can be demounted and equipped on the next tank you play at no cost.

Had a good game platooning with my bro in our T-34s on El Halluf.
Its nice to get some decent co-ordination going. It can make all the difference between victory and defeat. We even managed a Brothers in Arms medal

You should try doing that down at tier 2 - it's really quite unfair how well 2 half decent platooned players can do at that level! I've pretty much only played my Cruiser III in a platoon with a PzII, stats so far as 142 games, 6 brother in arms medals (3 kills each and survive) and 1 crucial contribution medal (12 kills for the platoon) and a 71% win ratio...Its nice to get some decent co-ordination going.
