The Official Man United -Champions Of England-Thread [Vol 3]
Discussion
Rooney consistently being linked with a move away from Old Trafford. Paper this morning reporting Rooney saying that Fergie has been phasing him out, he hasn't put in a transfer request or asked to leave, so Fergie must have lied about the transfer request then.
PSG are apparently the favourites to sign him. I could see Man City going for him.
What do you Man U fans think? Should he stay or would you be fine to see the back of him?

I'd tend to accept what Fergie said when asked about why Wazza had been substituted & benched against Real - "A Wayne Rooney in top form wouldn't have been subb'd/benched" - nothing to do with "phasing him out"PSG are apparently the favourites to sign him. I could see Man City going for him.

He may not have formally asked the club to leave - it seems he did however have a conversation along those lines with SAF.
He has two years on his contract. They will now either extend it or sell him but it won't be to City (or Chelski). It will be somewhere like PSG (outside the UK) but PSG would seem to be about to get a new manager so all bets are probably off.
I doubt his Mrs will want to leave the North West at the moment - so he will clear the air with Moyes, sign a new 5 year deal & will be staying is my bet.

The way they took the banter made some supporters from a few other clubs look pathetic now that you've drawn my attention to it.
Or we can talk about a new era at Old Trafford unless everyone is quite happy to continually discuss the Spuds?

I'm sorry to hear of the sudden death of Brian Greenhoff (the brother of another United star Jimmy) today at age 60.
I remember as a lad seeing him play many times. He was a good pro who I had nothing but admiration for.
R.I.P. Bryan.
Yes, very shocked to hear this news, I knew Brian for many years through work, he was a lovely quiet man, who was very modest and down to earth.I remember as a lad seeing him play many times. He was a good pro who I had nothing but admiration for.

It would hurt no doubt if he were to sign for another EPL club, but football is business and players move not necessarily just for the football. I'm not sure that Ronaldo fits into your "typical" footballer category though so fingers crossed...Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
