Not when the other team have the ball. I can see why people like him but he's too much a show pony for me, as is Heaslip.
Heaslip and his white boots...please
Think Croft is a massive handful, excellent awkward opponent. Still trying to get over Fat Matt Stevens the penalty machines inclusion

He didn't create anything either.
So? It worked - and against one of the most flexible attacking teams in the northern hemisphere. All I am interested in is a game plan that will win. Not this mystical 'creativity' that people talk about - I missed the memo where rugby stopped being about results and started being about entertainment. A lot of Worcester's fans babble on about creativity and how we need creative players. - No you don't. What you need is fit and drilled players, who can follow a good game plan.
Look at the All Blacks, yes occasionally Dan Carter will do something peculiar, which results in a score, but 99% of the time their results come from a relatively simple off loading game based on staying on their feet, and always having supporting runners.

Anyone think that the European Player of the Year may still make an appearance?
I'd be shocked if he doesn't. Gatland has two 10's ( I know he's said other people can play there but lets face it that's marginal at best)...chances of one of them having some kind of even minor injury in a long tour are quite high. Let's say Sexton can't play for ten days at the beginning of the tour....you've then got Farrell looking at three games in ten days. Honestly think taking only two 10's is bonkers.

For his singing on the long plane journey?

Apparently Gatlands position is still as it was regarding JW he'll not ask him to join the squad unless one of the two 10's get injured. Whether thats true or not we'll have to wait and see.
Interesting the Robbie Deans has chosen not to add Quade Cooper to the squad although there's still time as he def seems to be on good form, James O'Connor looking in pole position as the starting 10 for the Wallabies. Folau looks like a hand fulll and can't argue with his scoring record to date, comments being made about his defensive weaknesses.
I'll admit there was a time 6-12 month ago where I saw it as being pretty much in the bag for the Lions but it seems as if the Australian crop of players in the Super 15 are relaly hitting form at the right time so it should be very competitive.
Eng Vs Barbarians at the weekend too.

Afternoon all. Cuban jaunt is over and catching up on various things. Superb performance from Croft, but then Im a biased Tigers fan. Jesus mk2 made it 17 from 17, won the HC for Toulon with the clutch kick AND prevented Clermonts drop goal to win and won European player of the yr. So far ahead of everybody else its just funny now. So what gets said if he wins Toulon the Super 14aswell? I wonder what price on Sheridan being first choice front row cover?

Jesus Mk2? jonny is god. Owen is the son of god.
Quite interesting with the domestic comps coming to a close this weekend (excluding France).
Some out of form/come back from injury players have been looking good of late, Heaslip, Kearney, Bowe to name a few.
Given that the bulk of the Lions Welsh contingents domestic season has been long over do folk reckon the Welsh boys who might have been pencilled in for the starting 15 will be looking on to the build up and the finals with sqeeky bums, or will they have benefited from extra time in camp and be fresher? In particular Kearney has has been playing very well, 1/2p would probably have been on most people starting 15 but if he's not required for kicking duties as solid as he his Kearney offers more going forward IMO. I'm not a huge Heaslip fan but as the weathers got better and the track has hardened he's had some very good games.

Halfpenny starts, trust me. Gatland worships him. Some out of form/come back from injury players have been looking good of late, Heaslip, Kearney, Bowe to name a few.
