As regards stick on tats...
I got gold Yamaha Badges to replace the 3 on the bike at the mo...from thailand.
Gold tank protector from USA.
Full set mirror gold R1 stickers from Lithuania.
And a custom single mirror gold sticker from a UK based company cost more than all of the above together lol, typical!
I'd happily help you out with some training, chap, but you wouldn't learn much from being pillion. You may also be dangerous on th back if you don't like leaning over! I actually know you, Gulzar, from the gym at David lloyds, some years back, but you may remember me too.

Like I say, do what you wish to the r1, but I suspect you aren't the best rider out there and should seriously consider some help with learning to ride and enjoy your bike.
I've been riding bikes for 40 years now, and have plenty to learn. I'm off on a course on Saturday in fact!
It's one thing bumbling about in a gaudy Lamborghini if you haven't got a great deal of wheelman skills, not that I am saying you don't . But bikes are great machines but demand huge respect as it all gets pretty painful pretty quickly if you or someone else makes a simple mistake.
For all i know, you may be a riding God, but if you are a bit steady, and maybe haven't fully explored litre bike performance, a day or so at Ron Haslams will really boost your confidence and skills. And it is money well spent, IMO.
Your frivolous responses to sensible and sincere advice is a little worrying, tbh.

Thing is, on a bike, being aware of and having confidence in what a bike can do, and being able to do it if required, will save your life one day.
If you need to remove the chicken strips because your observation has failed you're a pretty poor road rider anyway...In 2003 I came upon an accident where a chap was killed as he ran wide on a left hander and stood the bike up instead of just tipping in a bit more. He was on a Mille, the chap on the Ducati following hit his wreckage. They weren't tanking on at all, Mille guy had only just had the bike a week and wasn't used to it, just panicked with it being a little slower steering than his rs250 he'd been riding. He pegged it as he made the wrong decision having made a mistake. The enquiry actually mentioned his lack of experience on the bike and police accident investigator formed an opinion of his experience on the bike based on the clear clean part of his tyres.
It wasn't a pleasant experience and very sad for the guys family.
He wasn't a bad rider as such, just inexperienced and not used to the force you need to ( or indeed CAN) apply to flop a big tall bike like a Mille on its side.
Normally, it's safer to tighten the line in such a situation than to stand it up and head for the hedge! But the natural reaction is to stand it up and brake, (which of course stands the bike up and runs you wide on its own).
Anyway, enough of such frivolity! gulzar, I'd be happy to meet up and go for a run out, be good to see you again!

Indeed. I'm all for a modification or two but at least do it justice. I couldn't care less what you do to the bike but buying some £3.99 Stickers from ebay isn't modification. No face palm meme can describe the face palm this deserves
Gold harris rear sets - Good (If you like that sort of thing)
Ebay stickers - Pants
Why don't you just pimp the motorised wheel chair and leave the bike alone?
My gixxer still had chicken strips 6months after owning.
Why do I need to get my knees down driving around the city and surrounding area? The roads are bloody dangerous enough as it is without trying to test the adhesion of a tennis ball sized patch against some s
tty under par Tarmac covered in diesel, oil, mud, grime, horse sh!t and occupied by crap low observant drivers and bloody power rangers.
It's some poor attempt at "my c0ck is bigger than yours" when we all know no one actually cares

But he's not taking the engine out and replacing it with a 50cc 2 stroke.
He's lightly customising! Slating something because its cheap is outright snobbery.
A tank protector is just a bit of precut vinyl - paying top money for it is stupidity.
I had clear tank protector on mine - kit was £60 ..... 3 x A4 clear vinyl was £6 and I cut t myself

king so!!!s
t gold stickers, removing original badges to fit different coloured ones from Thailand is pure bad taste and can only be considered a downgrade as you're taking oem parts off and fitting utter s
te!!!As for the comments about the chickens strips, yeah it's a road not a race track and he's not had it 5 min, but the tyres on his old R1 were just as bad. Hazard a guess he would get more out of learning to ride the thing properly than wasting money on s
t stickers and gold dust caps, y0. Each to their own of course and its his money, I do quite like how he shrugs off the criticism, but seriously, for anyone who thinks this man has taste you need your head checking.Edited by Yazza54 on Wednesday 22 May 20:38
